Performa 59745 Reusable Ice & Heat Gel Pack, Extra Large Flexible Ice & Heat Pack for Knee, Shoulder, Ankle, & Back, 11" x 21"

When I was in a Rehab hospital, this the cold/hot pack they used. They only used this brand of cold/hot pack because they were so durable. I had other cold/hot packs at the house; however, they did not stay cold enough or long enough. So, I ordered 2 of the packs. They have worked extremely well, and they are durable. I would purchase same again.

I've used it daily since it arrived. It was recommended by the physical therapist. The gel retains heat nicely, can be evened out before heating, and performs as suggested in the ad.

After shoulder surgery, this was so easy for me to apply and adjust, to cover my surgical area. I used it for icing both after surgery and after therapy. Great quality and easy to maneuver with one hand.

My husband had surgery on his rotator cuff, he started physical therapy and they used one like this but larger. He didn't want the larger one so we order this one that sits on his shoulder. He said it defiantly helps, not too big and not to small, and it doesn't take up a lot of room in the freezer.

This thing was incredibly useful after a laparoscopic surgery, helping relieve the pain in my shoulder area. I love the ease of use since you just pop it in the microwave and it’s good to go wherever you happen to be. I find it to be a bit better for heat than as a cool pack, but I honestly may not have chilled it in the freezer long enough. I would definitely recommend this. I have even used it at the foot of my bed when the weather turned unexpectedly chilly again this spring and it warmed my feet just enough. The shape is perfect for the neck and shoulders. I have recommended this to my friends. Item received quickly and efficiently.

This is the second Performa Reusable Gel Pack ordered. The Gel pack is a thick design and the product is amazing concerning its performance. It retains cold when put in the freezer for several hours and works exceptionally well when placed on sore muscles for relief.My review is unrelated to the product performance. The 3 star rating is due to the packaging of the product. In my opinion, perhaps a flat styrofoam layer should be placed on top of the Gel Pack to hold it firmly within the box.This would restrict movement of the Gel pack when it is shipped. Upon unboxing the recent Gel Pack delivered it was wadded up inside the shipping box which negatively effected the plastic sleeve which contains the Gel. As a result the Gel Pack does not have a smooth surface after being wadded-up in a ball within the shipping box. Applying the Gel Pack with a smooth surface when applied to sore muscles is pertinent for a good experience.

I bought this for my back pain. I am a larger person and could not find an ice belt to fit me, so I ordered this and used it as I sat and watched TV. Stayed cold for a long time. Now I'm using it for shoulder pain.

This is perfect! It stays warm or cold for a long time, 6 hours at least. The gel is nice and conforming, they're durable and I haven't had any issues with splitting even after multiple uses!
