Will do the job expected
Have not had a chance to try it out yet but looks like it is exactly what I need to help my husband with his disability

Easy to install on a fallen patient.
This is a well constructed Patient lift belt. The addition of leg straps prevents the belt from slipping when lifting the patient. I ordered this belt after attempting to lift my wife, after a fall. Due to recent surgeries, there was nothing to grasp for lifting. I had previously used a similar belt when lifting an elderly person and realized the need for the leg straps. I would purchase this belt again.

Useful aid.
We use this belt to assist in the transitioning of mom from the bed to wheelchair and back again. She is 95 and home from hospital and we are trying to have her participate more in her daily activities by having her stand on her own feet and turn from bed to chair (with the assistance of one or two people). Hopefully, we will increase physical therapy to standing and walking with the belt. Putting on belt while in bed is similar to putting new chux on bed while patient is also in bed...roll up the long end and place under patient so that main buckle stays on one side...then roll patient to side to place belt and center the back of the belt to the patient...then roll patient to other side and complete the process. At first we were centering the belt buckle on the front of patient to center the belt but realized that the buckle was not the center and we were shifting the belt off-center, so we put a piece of white tape on the center of the back of the belt to help with alignment. The belt's leg 'loops' prevents the belt from shifting up mom's pear shaped figure which occurs with the regular gait belts. We think this belt is a good aid for our situation.

great products!
Great product. It is very beneficial as a home health PT, where I work with many patients that need the leg loops. Easy to donn and doff

Hard to secure
Looking at the picture no wonder I was having such a hard time with this belt. Not only is it confusing to put on securely but then the alligator clasp is supposed to be in the ?back? The addition of the leg straps should be a comfort but they're not. They are too short and don't grap the way the picture shows. It does work once you've figured out how to make it secure.

Seller Delivered - Product Didn't
The belt was delivered promptly. However, I strongly recommend against buying this product. The webbing used on the belt is coarse, rough and stiff. The "quick-release" snaps used on the leg straps are just plain awful. They make the length of the leg straps almost impossible to adjust. Also, if there's any tension on the snaps, they're incredibly hard to release. (I got a blood blister on each thumb trying to get them off.) And lastly, if the leg straps are adjusted to keep the belt from rising when the user is standing, they'll likely be too tight for the user to sit down.

Most sturdy gait belt I've used
I've had a few gait belts in the past and they always, without fail, ride up when someone grabs them to transfer me, regardless of how tight the belt is.This belt solves that problem by adding straps to the legs. With those extra loops, there's no way the middle belt around the stomach can ride up.Only cons I can think is that it's not really comfortable during the transfer and I can't stretch my legs straight. Since I'm short (<5'), I have to adjust the leg straps to be smaller so the stomach loop doesn't have space to ride up. This makes the leg loops makes them tighter during the transfer and a little uncomfortable. Also, the tighter leg straps prevent me from stretching my legs straight (i.e. I can't stand) which could be a problem for people who are able to assist during transfers (I can't help/stand so it wasn't a big deal for me).One reviewer said that his 5' mother could not use this belt. I think they must not have adjusted the default size because I can use it just fine. Sure it's not super comfortable but the transfer is quick and more pain free than transferring without it.

Belt
I am a person who cannot walk. I had a stroke and this belt helps the girls pick me up at pivot me into bed. It works fantastic because also goes around each leg that takes a lot of pressure off of them and it makes me stand. Love it would recommend it to anybody.
