Incredibly Strong Bond With HDPE
Using it to glue endcap to NDS channel drain. NDS said the plastic is HDPE, high density polyethylene, and recommended contact cement.I tried contact contact cement and PVC and neither worked. Contact cement was tacky but definitely not strong. PVC did not adhere and flaked off.This glue has 3 min work time during which the glue remains pliable. Glue mixture has consistency of yellow mustard and will fill 1/16" - 1/8" gap. It dries after 3-4 hours and is very strong. I can't pull it apart! I wiped contacting surfaces clean before application but no further treatment beyond that (e.g., sanding, flame).The only downside is that it needs a special applicator gun, which includes the necessary 10:1 pistons to get the right mix. You also need a 10:1 nozzle. Listen to what the other reviewer said. I bought the applicator gun (which 10:1 and 1:1 pistons), nozzle, and glue from amazon.

Great for hard plastic repairs
I’ve used this twice to repair broken plastic parts on vehicles. It leaves a messy bead, but makes a strong bond where epoxies simply won’t hold.

Worth the price
Works very well for bonding various types of automotive plastic. Read the tech sheet from 3m and follow the instructions and it will perform well.

Great for hdpe
Very strong. I couldn’t find anything to successfully bond hdpe to itself. This worked for my application and I will order more for my next hdpe job. Critical to have the correct gun and tips for mixing properly.

Great for fixing delaminating kayaks
Use this product to fix the bottom of my kayak. Due to miss use the bottom part of the hull was delaminating. There are not many items on the market that will fix this type of issue. I am working exactly as I hoped no more issues.

Only thing I could find to bond HDPE
If you need to bond HDPE or other plastics with extremely low surface energy, this is the product you need. I used it to bond a large HDPE sheet to a frame for an outdoor grill prep station. That was 2 years ago and it's still holding strong. I tried other adhesives and nothing worked until I found this. You'll need a 10:1 epoxy gun and mixing applicators, so it's not cheap. But it's the only thing I've found to work.
