Elgato Wave XLR – Mic Interface, XLR/USB-C, Anti-Clipping, 75 dB preamp, Phantom Power, Direct Monitor, Touch Mute, Wave Link Digital Mixing app (Renewed)

I’ve been debating making the switch from digital to XLR mic for a while. Problem I kept running into was there is so many interfaces available and at all different price ranges. I don’t do anything fancy besides gaming just have a desire to sound great maybe streaming to come but don’t at this time. I threw this on a wish list for Christmas with a XLR mic and got it from the wife. I couldn’t be more happy with it. Wave link software is super easy to use and I think that’s one of the things elgato got right! Now prior to this I was using voicemeter potato for software with a midi as hardware controls with a usb mic. I have learned lots for VM and am quite advanced in software integration there was just some pains with VM as we all have. Wave link is super easy and uses MS windows as the media source to split audio. Additionally plug ins are easy to install and use with wavelink. I have wave link integrated with midi mixer so I still have my hardware (nanokontrol2) to control audio levels. Over all love the product and software

I do training videos and voice over work for my day job and my fledgling publishing company, and I have several XLR microphones and a Black Lion Audio interface for audiobook recording. BUT I could not use that interface with my company computer because it's locked down and prevents me from installing the drivers required for the interface. So, the solution was to get a USB microphone for my work computer - which was the Presonus Revelator (an AMAZING microphone for the price), and that sufficed for a spell. I then looked at my XLR mics and really wanted to use them for my work computer and this WAVE XLR worked as advertised - complete PLUG AND PLAY!!!!! It's simple and the interface has zero learning curve. Has TONS of power so no need for a cloudlifer. So happy I decided to abandon the USB microphones and improve the quality of my 9-5 work products with professional audio. Thanks so much Elgato - I'm a huge fan now.

Audio periodically cuts out, not sure if its because this is a refurbished piece.

Works great. If you get any static noise make sure every input and output is set in windows. Right click sound bottom right of screen select sound setting, then at bottom click advance sound settings. Dont leave them at default. That will fix any static noise. So easy to setup. The software is what makes this product so awsome easy and simple. Plus I have sound levels for me and separate sound levels for my audience. You can also monitor each one if you want. Such a great product.

Tap to mute. That's where it's at! A lot of people will use this for streaming. While I also do that, the primary use is for zoom and teams meetings. At those points in online meetings, where you need to cough or sniff or perhaps call your dog over, the tap to mute function on this thing is invaluable. Instead of searching around for the mute on whatever app it is that you're using, being able to mute at the input for the microphone is swift and sure! I love my little mute box

The preamps on this interface are very serviceable and are able to run my RE20 without a cloudlifter or booster of any sort. The VSTs are very convenient for background noise suppression, eq, etc. The quality of the preamps themselves wont match that of an Apollo Audio product, but it'll be more than good enough for any non-super-professional setup.

Thanks to the simplicity that the Elgato Software give us. I am able to make the quality of my voice sound defined and beautiful. I have not felt that this product is a waste of money one bit. The software is easy to download, use, and modify. Worth the buy, don't hesitate those with XLR Mic's

Had a maonocaster and it was buggy at times so I picked this up for my Logitech mic and love it so far with 0 problems.
