CHEXPELmens Military Coat winter thick jacket

All around this is the best jacket that I could find right now but you must know, I ordered three Navy (S, M, L) and they all came in Black. At an athletic 5'9 and 170 lb, the large fit me all around the best. My preference would have been medium with the slim fit look but it was a little too tight for my wife's liking and as soon as I zipped up the jacket all the way, it basically strangled me and it was a very uncomfortable, tight feeling. So large it is.As I write this review I notice that the cord around the collar is actually the Navy color, proving in contrast that the jacket is really black. You can even see in the photos that I'm wearing Navy sweats and the jacket is obviously much darker. I'm going to order this Navy one more time in the large and see what color comes in so I'll update when that happens.As I mentioned above this is all around a great jacket and I really, really like it. I love the pockets, I love the style and I've never owned a jacket with a hood before and this one really looks nice and is comfortable. The lining on the inside of the jacket and hood have this fur type material and that just adds to the warmth and comfort. It is also the appropriate amount of thickness and I still have the mobility that I seek when wearing a jacket versus a heavy coat. Currently in New York State the winter weather is around 15° (4° wind chill) and I wore the jacket outside and it did the job.

I was going to order the large in this, as I typically do with most jackets or sweatshirts. However, upon reading the various reviews, as well as going by their size chart, I chose to go with a medium. DO NOT DO THIS! Order whatever size you would normally order. Size is true to fit. The medium, on me, is too short in the sleeves and too short in the length and too tight over the shoulders. Order your normal jacket size.

tl;dr I normally wear Medium/Large but the Small fit me perfectly in this case.PROS: Once I found the right size for myself I definitely loved this jacket. It's *very* warm and I'd call it a coat, not a jacket if that makes sense. It's a winter coat, not a fall jacket. The cut fits fantastically now that I've found my correct size and I am very satisfied. However, finding the right size was a painful process...CONS: for the jacket itself, none. However, the sizing was WAY off for me. I am 5'10" and 190 lbs, average size by all accounts; somewhat on the more muscled side than skinny, but pretty average. I normally wear a Medium or Large depending on brand and garment type (sometimes, if I'm very active and fit, I'll wear a Small t-shirt for a skintight look, but normally Medium is best). So I purchased a Large for this jacket, and when it arrived I was swimming in it. It felt like an XL. So I returned it (for free, thank you Amazon for a great return policy) and got a Medium. I could've sworn they sent me another Large by accident because it didn't feel any smaller at all (and the label said "XL", so I thought a mistake had been made). I sent it back for a replacement and when the replacement arrived and was also way too big, and also said "XL" on the tag, I finally noticed on the packaging a label stating "Chinese XL/USA Medium)". Sooo, they had sent the "correct" size, but for a Medium it was still way too big on me.SUMMARY: I FINALLY got a Small and it fits fantastically! Absolutely perfect for a fitted feel and look. If I had wanted to wear a bunch of layers like sweaters and shirts and undershirts then perhaps I'd have stayed with a Medium, but the sleeves in particular still felt way too long in the Medium, barely any different from a Large (if I let the cuffs extend all the way down, they covered my entire hand).

I really like the jacket style. But,,,I ordered this jacket twice. First I ordered it gray large. I was sent 2X. So I returned it and reordered. The 2X was a little to big. Thinking that if I went with my original order of large size. I went with XL. Which I believe would of been fit. So I received the reordered jacket. To my surprise it was 3X. I wonder if I want a size XL I should ordered the medium size and get a XL. The size that I need. Should I try again 🤔???I liked the jacket enough that I reordered a third time. And yes I ordered medium size. The jacket has a x-large label 🏷. Which is the size that I needed. Praise God...

Although the lack of comments on this jacket made me a little worried, in fact I received an excellent product. It fits perfectly but not too tight. In this cold weather, it is exactly what I need.
