Works well!
Replaced the float on a Zoeller sump pump. The pump was about 15 yrs old and was intermittently failing to turn on, causing occasional water in the basement. I thought maybe the float had some water in it and it was therefore not able to exert enough upward force to flip the switch. This float worked exactly like the old one I replaced, so I learned it wasn't the float! It's very quick and easy to replace.

Pump lives again
This replaced a Craftsman upside down plastic cone float of age. This new float a smaller diameter, fits better, and full of long life doing the job.

Works perfect and 2 minute install
Brought my old pump back to life. Old float was covered in slime and gunk and was too heavy to activate. Works perfect and 2 minute install....

Not worth it, buy a new pump
Wasnt bouyant enough to set the switch off in my pump. This was after I just put in a new switch as well. I ended up having to tape the old float to the new one for it to work. After some time, I decided this wasnt a good system to rely on and I purchased a better pump. Just buy a new pump, this wont help you.

very disappointing
I bought this figuring that when I had to check the pump, at some point I may need to replace the original float. Well, the original float didn't work properly (the water would not all evacuate). So I used this float to see if the first was defective - no, it wasn't. This float is a design error by Zoeller and it way to heavy to effectively evacuate all the water. The pump needs to totally submerge under water before evacuating the water BUT, IT CUTS OFF BEFORE ALL THE WATER IS EVACUATED LEAVING STANDING WATER UNTIL IT FILLS ENTIRELY OVER THE PUMP AGAIN! If you are trying to get moisture OUT of your crawlspace, why would you want a pump with a float that leaves about 3" IN the basin? Zoeller needs new engineers! Now I have 2 floats that don't work properly!!!
