Abatron Epoxy Review
The two step process of Abatron Wood Restorer and wood Epoxy is ideal to replace and repair wood. That said, the epoxy compound is a bit hard to mold into detail shapes and a result, rough and finishing sanding is required to make sure the product is finished to the dimensions you need. It is strong, durable and finishes well. I have used over 2 gallons of the material and would buy it again to repair any wood.

Expensive but Works Well
Expensive but works well. I would use this product again if the job calls for it.

Great for renovating an old house
This stuff is great (along with their liquid epoxy) for repairing the wood siding I've taken off my 160 year old house. Just be careful not to cross-contaminate the two containers, or the white component will get lumpy.

Lightweight but hardens pretty hard
I was surprised at how light it was. It was lighter than other putties I've worked with. It also feels softer than playdough, which makes it easy to knead. But unlike playdough, it is a bit sticky (well, it is epoxy) and bits will stick to your gloves and work surface. I laid out some wax paper on a piece of board to use as a work surface and the putty will stick and leave residual bits on the wax paper. One downside is that it doesn't spread smoothly like wood putty or spackle. Clean up is pretty easy using denatured alcohol, so long as the putty hasn't cured yet.

Great product
Product was relatively easy to use, just like play dough . Prep work is the most important part. Be sure to sand and use liquid wood before using this product. I recommend a warm day above 75 to harden the product faster. I was able to use the liquid wood, epoxy, sand , prime/paint all in a day. Rubbing alcohol on a spackle helps smooth the product and helps clean it up . Just have to wait and see how it holds up .

Part A mix is hard
The Part A portion of the batch is of poor quality and is already semi cured. The company needs to do a better job of shelf life management. Will work to get a replacement.
