The Foundations of Leninism

Joseph Stalin is not particularly remembered as a writer or for his written style. But he was the author books, and those books reflect his personal, blunt, manner. Which serves the subject of this book well. For all of the writers and commentators after Marx, Lenin is the most significant. Lenin’s political vision informs liberation movements even to the present day and is relevant in this Age of Globalism. Stalin’s explanation of Lenin’s political philosophy is clear, brief, and basic. In reading Stalin's analysis on Lenin's revolutionary philosophy, you'd think you are reading about today's current events. This book is a series of lectures delivered to the Sverdlov University. The topics of these lectures range from the lofty to the mundane. Of course, while Stalin gives a basic outline of the political philosophy of Lenin, at times he ruminates on rudimentary, housekeeping, topics, such as internal conflicts, disagreements and controversies. Still, he returns to the subject at hand, and, in another lecture, he discusses strategy and theory for liberation struggles. This slim book is important for its brevity and clarity. Stalin’s exposition of Lenin’s political thought is still important and compelling in today's world. A highly recommended read.

This book is the perfect introduction to Marxist-Leninism. It is fairly short, understandable, and covers most introductory concepts in an easy to read way.

This book is great for that, it gives people a scientific plan on how to install workers-dictatorships in each country of this world, which is full of poverty, misery and pain. It's very concise and simple to understand. The author does not waste time or meander. Instead, he's straight to the point and yet somehow elaborates more on the inner workings of Marxism-Leninism.

This book truly gives you a basic introduction into Marxism leninism and describes how a revolution should be constructed.

great at first but pages are falling out now

Very well written book by Stalin, goes into the theory of Leninism in a very digestible way. Good for people who have not read Lenin in the past and want some sort of primer before delving into the writings of Lenin.

Clear, unfussy prose. Clearly summarises the subject without excessive repetition. This author is efficient and direct in all his works.

Different aspects of Leninism is explained in this small book by the greatest disciple of Lenin. It is a good guide for one who wants to get an understanding of the immortal theories of Leninsm.

An insightful read on ideology of the Soviet Union. I don't recommend repeating it's failures.
