Great product…creaking top
I waited to post this review until I had several months of use so I could really give a good review. The product arrived well packaged, the set up instructions were clear as you have to dial in the arm to a specific weight (so pay attention to the instructions). The audio is crystal clear and the Bluetooth connection was automatic. The product is well made but the lid makes a loud creaking sound when opening but it does not affect the sound of the music. It plays exactly as it should and I love the fact that it connects to Bluetooth and can play over our speakers.

Great balance of value and features
I'm using this connected to a stereo system using 'line level' not on phono or Bluetooth so I can't attest to those. The sound quality on our first two records was very good. The instructions on setup including balancing the tone arm and connecting the belt drive were easy to follow. I also appreciated the way those set up steps were brought to my attention via the packaging materials and illustrations to make sure we didn't skip that procedure. The unit itself is very pretty and 'shiny' in a good way. It looks great on the shelf in our living room. The front two feet are threaded which allows you to balance and level the unit . It does the basic jobs of a record player . It's not a fancy automatic turntable but those extra mechanized steps introduce more ways for one to break. I was satisfied with the functionality. I also appreciated that it has three ways to connect: line level, phono level including a spot to connect a grounding wire to eliminate 'hum', and a Bluetooth option. They've thought the features through to include at this price point. We have only played a few records on it so we hope our happiness lasts many records into the future. For now it's a five star item at a reasonable price.

006 Reporting!!!
Well it seems to me that in 72 years of living on this Earth and enjoying music and especially turntables and phono cartridges one might say I've been around the block a few times. The turntable for review here is the Retro life h u 006 and compared to last year's Blockbuster turntable at such an entry level price the Angels horn HP double O2 I must say that this one is quite impressive! After tweaking the two speeds 33 and 45 the stability of the highly crafted machine is quite impressive but do thoroughly clean the inner and outer rims of the platter as it uses a very sophisticated speed detection and correction system. It is imperative that you supply your own RCA photo patches and I highly recommend the 3ft Cable Direct from Germany available here on Amazon for about 10 bucks. These cables can make an audible difference and seem to be a wonderful match for the Audio Technica cartridge and the Retro life tonar which in itself is very impressive! Some reviewers will complain about the use of plastic on the tone arm but I'm telling you the combination of the plastic head shell area and the metal tone arm works wonderfully with the Audio Technica 3600 l phone cartridge which can easily be upgraded to the two gram tracking 91b. Once this is done you will have a machine but you need not make any apologies to any of the audio files knobs who spent hundreds or even thousands on their equipment. From the lowest lows to the highest highs the detail is stunning! And so is the polymer wood plastic finish in cherry wine of the unit itself. It is absolutely gorgeous to look at in person rather than just pictures alone and the entire turntable kit built in the USA by you with foreign parts coming from China renders a first rate analog reproducer that you can be proud of and enjoy for years to come. Happy listening and God bless! PJs 2 Update March 2023.. I just mounted the Audio Technica vm95c blue cartridge to the tone arm for an upgrade and now the sound quality has been taken up another level and it was so easy because of the threaded mounting holes in the new VM 95c. I highly recommend that retro life include this cartridge with this turntable in the future. The nice thing other than the easy mount is that the user can upgrade by simply buying a more expensive stylus right on up to the ml micro line one at the top of the line!

Good but not great
Easy to set up and looks great. Bluetooth connected with no problem. I’m disappointed that the tone arm doesn’t automatically retract at the end of an album. Also, the sound quality is good, but certainly not great. For the money ($100), this turntable is a pretty good value.

Looks aren't everything....
This player really looks great! Honestly love the aesthetic and if you never have to put a record on it the 5 stars! Part1: (excitement and a pinch of hope) Our first one lasted about an hour and a half. We were a little skeptical at first as some of the highs from cymbals were scratchy but thought this was just a viynl-ism. After an hour the periodic slow downs with related pitch shifts really started to get noticeable. Soon the player sounded drunk and no belt cleaning or adjustments made a single bit of difference. I then called Amazon customer care, which was a great experience and the guy agreed to replace. Part 2: (ups and downs) We got the replacement the week after our issues and the support call. Put it all together carefully and let her rip. Sound quality was perfect, we really thought we had a good one. 4-5 records in there were a few slow downs and no matter what we did it continued to get worse. As a last effort we moved to a new known good record half way through it was all drunken sounding again. We immediately filed for a refund and packed both up and sent them on their way. Part 3: (a new hope?) On the way to drop these two useless beautiful items off for amazon returns the thought crossed our minds that maybe we are the problem.. Honestly we can't count it out, lol. So we headed to the dreaded land of yellow price tags to pick up a possible answer to our concerns around total incompetence. While those employed of the land of yellow tags proved to be elusive and useless, a patron (self proclaimed audiophile) approached us as we examined the offerings looking for a suitable player. He claimed that audio-technica was the way to go and pointed out a $400 unit. We waited until he was well clear of us to pick up the $220 ATLP60XBT Bluetooth unit for purchase. Upon getting this unit home we nervously set it up, which should be noted was way easier than the retrolife unit, and paired it with our speaker. Ran one record after another with no issues, like absolutely none! Then moved into trouble records, ones we never could listen to before, and they played flawlessly. While I am sure we will have some issues eventually, we eclipsed the total run time of both now returned units and are truly satisfied with our purchase. Thanks retrolife for providing a heavy reminder that you get what you pay for and if it looks to good to be true it is!

A very pleasant listening experience
I was looking for a good starter turntable in order to test play records before resale, and this offering from RetroLife will certainly fit the bill. I had the pleasure of listening to this device in a friend's home, and I am very pleased with the quality for the price. The sound quality is quite excellent through the internal speakers, and sounds even better through external speakers. I am also happily sampling the Bluetooth connectivity, my primary mode of connection to the speaker, and I am not noticing any signal loss, even with my computer in the bedroom and the player here in the living room. Functionality and versatility are simple and straightforward; the turntable plays two speeds, 33 LP and 45 single, and will perform very well at these tasks. There is no anti-skate on the tone arm, but it is easy enough to simply stabilize the turntable in order to prevent vibrations. As a household full of pets, I greatly appreciate the inclusion of a dust cover, something that I've always enjoyed seeing on record players, it's not only helpful and useful, but gives a nice retro aesthetic. All in all, for the money, this device will do quite nicely for someone looking for their first turntable with a touch of elegance and style.

Classic Feel with Modern Connectivity!
After comparing a few turntables, I finally decided to purchase the Turntables Belt-Drive Record Player with Wireless Output Connectivity. I couldn’t be happier with my choice! 1. Purchase Experience: I did my homework and compared several models before placing my order. This one stood out for its blend of vintage aesthetics and advanced features like wireless output and USB recording. 2. Unboxing & Setup: The product arrived quickly and was well-packaged. Setting it up was straightforward — the manual was clear, and every part felt solid and premium. The advanced magnetic cartridge and adjustable counterweight immediately gave me confidence in its quality. 3. Sound Performance & Features: This record player supports 33 & 45 RPM speeds, allowing me to play both my classic LPs and singles with ease. What really impressed me was the Bluetooth output, which lets me connect it wirelessly to my Bluetooth speakers for a seamless listening experience. The phono and line outputs also make it versatile for connecting to different systems. The sound quality is exceptional — warm, clear, and rich in detail, with no unwanted hum or distortion. It captures that authentic analog feel perfectly. 4. Design & Build: The retro look combined with modern tech gives it a beautiful vintage charm. The wood finish looks elegant, and it feels sturdy yet stylish on my desk. It’s a piece that enhances both the sound and the atmosphere of my room. 5. Value for Money: While the price is slightly higher than entry-level turntables, the quality, performance, and features absolutely justify it. You’re paying for a well-engineered product that delivers both nostalgia and convenience. If you’re looking for a turntable that combines classic analog sound with modern wireless connectivity and digital recording, this is the one to get!

GOOD DEAL-BUT FOR SPEED & PITCH ACCURACY *MUST* CLEAN PLATTER & BELT & MOTOR SPINDLE BEFORE ASSEMBLY
Great deal for the money if you get the 40% off coupon. Decent cartridge and the finish looks great. IF YOU DON'T WANT THE BELT TO SLIP AND CAUSE MAJOR PITCH VARIATIONS AND WOW & FLUTTER AS SEVERAL OTHERS HAVE MENTIONED, MAKE SURE YOU DO THESE FEW THINGS FIRST. REMOVE THE BELT IF IT SHIPPED ON THE PLATTER. 1. TURN THE PLATTER UPSIDE DOWN BEFORE INSTALLING IT AND CLEAN THE INSIDE INNER RIM OF THE PLATTER VERY WELL WITH WINDEX OR ALCOHOL. (THE OUTER SIDE OF THE EXTRUDED INNER RIM--THIS IS WHERE THE BELT RIDES) 2. THEN CLEAN THE INNER SIDE OF THE RUBBER BELT WITH WINDEX (OR ALCOHOL IF THAT'S ALL YOU HAVE.) 3. CLEAN THE SPINDLE OF THE MOTOR WITH SAME- ( TURN THE TURNTABLE "ON" AND LET THE MOTOR RUN AND TOUCH YOUR CLEANING CLOTH WETTED WITH WINDEX INTO THE BELT GROOVE OF THE SPINDLE FOR 10 -15 SECONDS. LET EVERYTHING DRY FOR A FEW MINUTES THEN CAREFULLY PUT THE BELT AROUND THE INNER EXTRUDED RIM OF THE PLATTER. MAKE SURE TO GET THE BELT TO RIDE DOWN ON THE PLATTER-DON'T LET IT BE TOO CLOSE TO THE EDGE. GRAB THE BELT BY PUTTING YOUR FINGER THRU THE OPEN WINDOW ON THE PLATTER, PUT THE PLATTER ON THE CENTER AXLE OF TURNTABLE AND GENTLY STRETCH THE EDGE OF THE BELT OVER THE MOTOR SPINDLE INTO THE GROOVED AREA. **VERY IMPORTANT!--WHEN SLIPPING THE BELT OVER THE MOTOR SPINDLE MAKE SURE YOU GET THE BELT TO RIDE IN THE GROOVE OF THE SPINDLE--IF THE BELT RIDES HIGH, UP ON THE RIM OF THE SPINDLE, THE TURNTABLE WILL PLAY *WAY* TOO FAST--ONCE YOU HAVE THE BELT ON THE MOTOR SPINDLE TURN THE PLATTER BY HAND SEVERAL TIMES & **MAKE SURE THE BELT IS RIDING IN THE GROOVE ON THE MOTOR SPINDLE** TURN ON THE START CONTROL AND LET THE TURNTABLE TURN FOR A MINUTE OR 2 TO LET THE BELT SETTLE. TAKE ONE LAST LOOK AT THE MOTOR SPINDLE TO MAKE SURE THE BELT IS SETTLED WELL IN THE GROOVE OF THE SPINDLE. Now put the Retrolife felt circular pad on... and unlock the tonearm lockdown at the rest,.... balance by turning your tonearm counter weight to where it floats by itself over the platter,... then while floating set the black dial at back of tonearm to zero. Note that the arm should still be floating in mid air above the edge of the platter. Now, while tonearm is still floating in air over edge of platter, turn the *entire* counter weight & the black number dial at back of the tonearm to where the numbered black dial reads 1 gram of force. remove the plastic protector from the stylus of the cartridge, & the tape. NOW it's ready to use. Enjoy! PS-IT'S OKAY IF NEED TO INCREASE THE TRACKING FORCE TO 1.5 GRAMS OR SLIGHTLY HIGHER IF NEED BE ON WARPED RECORDS, BUT TRY TO USE 1 GRAM ON RECORDS YOU DON'T WANT TO WEAR DOWN.

Excellent product with sleek look and great sound
EDIT—-I had no trouble pairing this with my UEBoom2. Then suddenly 3 months later I did. This turntable does NOT have a Bluetooth reset button which some units do. After resetting the speaker, ensuring that the speaker wasnt paired with the iPhones, turning unit on and off many times, and changing the outlet I plugged into .. I found the solution. My husband’s knock off smart watch was the problem. My FitBit watch did not cause a problem. When we turned off his watch’s Bluetooth , I was able to pair turntable to speaker with no issue. I discovered this when he was out of the house , I could pair it. We then tried putting watch in a metal pot with lid on and could pair. Voila! I fixed the problem. ******* For $199 with additional $40 coupon you cannot beat this. Setting it up was fairly easy but I did view a couple of videos to better understand how to set the counterweight on arm. Soon as you turn it on, blue light at back indicates Bluetooth connection has been found and it instantly found the UEBoom speaker I’m using, make sure you flip switch to LINE at back. My Roku Streambar Bluetooth settings did NOT find it but I will try to connect using usb cable included. I bought a $30 acrylic platter after one reviewer said it helped reduce static but so far I’ve found the felt platter to be just fine.

Good quality basic turntable with many modern features
Excellent quality audiophile level turntable: Been listening to vinyl since the 1970's and needed a new turntable, the old Dual died after 40 years. I did a bit of research and this model of Retrolife checked all my boxes. Features an Audio Technica 3600 needle, so decent quality there. Has wireless ability, and importantly a built-in pre-amp (not all turntables in this price range offer this feature, saves you a LOT of headache...). The turntable quality is good, sound quality is acceptable, has many moden features, is attractive to look at and it's affordable. Got it on sale on Amazon with free shipping, so remember, it pays to shop around. Very happy with my purchase. Keep in mind if you're hardcore audiophile, this turntable may be too basic for you...

3rd One - Love It
Got one of these for my birthday for my man cave and LOVED it. So I bought another one for my basement, which turned out to be faulty (I returned it to Amazon and I am still waiting for my refund). Anyways, i ordered a new one and it works great. I found it a bit of a pain to 'balance' the stylus arm but got there eventually. Sometimes, the Bluetooth takes a while to connect as well. Pairs great with my SONOS ERA speakers (immediately), but refuses to pair with my SONOS MOVE Speaker at all. Apart from that, i LOVE IT! It looks super cool, sounds great, and is awesome as my first turntable since the 1980's. I would highly recommend, even with my pairing issues to a particular speaker and the balancing of the stylus arm.

Awesome don't hesitate
Beautiful, quick to set up, runs great, hooked it to a Bluetooth speaker (also from Amazon) in seconds. Brings back a greater appreciation of music, the art of vinyl covers and taking the time to get up and flip the record 😀. We had picked up one of those $80 record players with inbuilt speakers and no decent counter weight from a local store that was rubbish so treated ourselves to this one and love it! Highly recommend. Want one in other rooms of the house now too!!
