Best knife for utility work
This knife has been my EDC for 5 years now, long enough to say that this is one of the best knives I've ever owned. It is remarkably easy to maintain; Sharpening this knife is barely a chore, and disassembly to oil and clean dirt out of pivot points is not complicated at all.The lock is a bit stiff out of the box, but just using the knife loosens it up enough that it becomes a non-issue.Grab multiple of these knives; one for your pocket, one for your toolbox, one for the car. These blades are versatile enough to be useful anywhere, and are not so expensive that you'd feel bad about losing it, or tearing it up.

This knife earned a 6 STAR and im picky with my knifes!
First, this knife build is shockingly superior to my all metal small knife, so sad when i got it because it was cheaper in cost and built twice as strong. The overall grip in your hand will leave you breathless in pure joy, it just feels excellent! The weight is incredibly light and i cannot help but to carry this knife everyday, where my other very closely related all metal knife is left at home, again, so sad that a knife at the price point has a quality of a 200.00 or higher cost. The handle is of a special plastic type with a sure grip with no give into weakness. I have used this two inch blade knife for nearly everything cutting packing tapes to boxes and it only gets sharper! When you open the knife with one hand, yes its easy to do safely it has a loud commanding snap that will surely get you noticed should you need to get that point across, atleast until they see the two inch blade and cannot stop laughing like i did and do-hehe. The quality is excellent in every category and i pushed the knife to what i though was its limit without any failures at all. I would NEVER had suspected that a two inch blade would be so overwhelmingly great like this knife with a box type blade or razor blade which is strong. Just be careful this blade is no joke should you ever make a mistake-ouccccch! On the other hand i would feel the pain that if needed for self protection it might not end anything instantly but it will present a serious stay away from you point! The clip is great for right handers like me. A knife is only as good as the one you carry and this one will be with you everyday until you pass it to your children when they grow up, its that good. This knife is legal to carry in all US states including California and NY as the blade is only two inches and thats where size does make an impact legally! You will not be disappointed I know, I am VERY picky!

Awesome little knife, but can't be carried tip-up
Great little knife. It's small and light enough that it can be carried in a shirt pocket for those times when you're doing work in a kneeling position. This means you don't need to rise up and straighten your leg each time you want to pull or stow the knife. That may seem like a trivial benefit, but believe me, it's nice. Also, the two large finger choils are great! Combined with the jimping on the top of the blade they allow a super sturdy grip when you need to put some effort into a cut, like when trying to cut through layers of paint to free a painted-shut window. Also, the short blade makes tasks like this much more effective than would a long blade. What bugs me about this knife is it can't be carried tip-up which means when pulling it from your pocket, you need to flip it 180-degrees to get it into position to flip the blade open with the finger notch. All in all it's a great knife for the price, though the lack of a tip-up carry option cost it a star in my opinion.

cheap and durable knife
I'm a little biased when it comes to Cold steel products even though it seems that their quality control has gone downhill over the years especially when getting it from Amazon however nothing wrong with this blade especially for the price point this is an excellent EDC great for simple tasks like moderate cutting packages envelopes thin rope twine very light and durable

Perfect replacement for a box cutter
I carried around a sheffield box cutter for a few years working in IT to cut zipties and open packages. Problem was, the blade would break or chip on the zipties, which was a bit dangerous. I also did a lot of 3D printing and wanted something that I could use to shave off the bits of extra material with. Box cutter blades are too weak for that. This knife, with an equally short blade that was legal on my college campus, fit the role so well. I also have huge hands and this knife offers a full-hand grip, unlike a lot of other short-blade knives. Also, the flat blade means it's super easy to clean and sharpen. Also, the profile of the blade means the tip hasn't broken off after a year and there are no sharp corners in your pocket. The lock is solid and easy to disconnect. Also the blade is super thick, so there's zero flex to it when you use it. I'm extremely happy with this knife, and honestly I'll probably just but another one if something ever happens to mine.

Great utility knife, and fits my XL hands well!
I've been carrying this at work instead of my bigger folders, primarily for size and weight issues. I've removed the clip and just carry it in the bottom of my weak side front pocket, along with my wallet and keys, and I don't even notice it. As an EDC/Utility knife, it's great! Only issue I had (which is common among the budget Cold Steel Folders) is with the sharp edges of the scales (inside). 10min with a micro file took care of that issue, and since I expect that with budget CS knives, no point off for that. The blade came razor sharp, and the grind was good enough for the price. If I lost it, I'd buy another one!

luv it
I wish cold steel would make a large version of this knife, it would be sweet. the opening action is a little stiff and unlocking the blade to close it is tight. this is typical cold steel knives.. but when you get them open and start using them they are very sharp and work well. maybe not as sharp as a spyderco or benchmade but still a very good knife to work with and extremely tough knife for the money. price is very good for what you are getting.
