The JoyMech yogurt could not be easier to use, and it produces a rich, creamy yogurt every time!
This yogurt has it all - and for half the price of the others I've looked at! When it first arrived, I thought the instruction manual must be missing: it was just a folded up sheet! I thought there had to be more that was missing, but this little machine is so easy to use; after pouring (UNHEATED!) milk and up to 1 tsp of the packaged culture(not included) into the provided metal canister, you put on the cover and plug it in. Voila! 12 hrs later, you have perfect yogurt. I tried mine with grass-fed whole milk and it was so rich and creamy I didn't need to strain it. I also made soy milk yogurt using West Life organic soy milk, 1 tsp of powdered culture, and 12 hrs later - rich, creamy soy yogurt! I was worried that incubating for 12 hrs would produce a very sour yogurt, but the taste was mild and creamy, with just a slight tanginess to it. This JoyMech yogurt maker is the perfect size for one person - the container holds about 3 1/2 cups of milk. It would definitely be too small for a family of 3 or 4, but for me, a container lasts me about 3 days if I eat the yogurt every day for 1 meal. The metal container is easy to pop into the dishwasher, and, best of all, unlike the Bear yogurt maker that I finally gave up on because of its breakable glass container, the JoyMech metal container is very easy to remove with no possible breakage.

Tips for yummy greek yougart
We love this very easy to use Yougart maker. It makes delicious yougartMy tips1. Use 3 cups 100% whole fresh milk, mix 2 TBS full fat power milk well into the fresh mix (this makes it thick)2 Place the above ingredients in a microwave bowl and heat on full power for 1min then stir, heat again, do this 3 times, to heat milk gently. (All in all you heat it 3 min)3. Mix a small tub of full fat yougart into the warm milk, mix well4. Poor the mixture into the steel bowl of the yougart masjien5. Put the plastic lid on, make sure lid is turned to yougart6. Power on the masjien and let it warm for 24 hour. Do not touch it or even lift the lid to take peek7. After 24 hours take the steal bowl out of the masjien and let it cool down for 1 hour before you put it in the fridge8. Keep covered in fridgeENJOY

So simple to use!
Makes great yogurt with very little effort. The instructions with photos are easy to use. I've made the Dr Davis L reuteri yogurt with half and half that ferments for 36 hours and it came out so thick and fluffy and delicious (although the smell of the first batch while still warm was off-putting, it was fine after a few hours in the fridge)I've also made 30 hour yogurt with Fairlife whole milk and it was thick and delicious too. Fermenting longer than the directions say makes for a much thicker product with more probiotics, so don't be afraid to ferment as long as 24-36 hours if you like a Greek style thicker yogurt.I'm taking off one star for the fact that there is no temperature control and the flimsy lid. Other than that, I am very happy with the yogurt that this little machine produces.

Weak heat and didn't last long
When it worked, the heating was really weak, milk has to be pre-warmed up, especially during winter (FL here). Broke down @10th month, totally no heating.

It works ok.. meh
The media could not be loaded. It doesn’t tell you the temperature and it has been making runny yogurt from the start (I’ve tried several times). It’s still good enough to eat with fruit and nuts but it’s not creamy. The size is smaller than I thought but it makes enough for 4-5 bowls so I think it’s good that is not too big as it doesn’t take so much space in the kitchen. And it’s cute too. But if I could return it, I would.

diappointing
Very disappointed. I thought this yogurt maker did everything; heat the milk up/cool the milk down and then ferment. It does not. You still have to heat/cool the milk, add your yogurt and then put it into the machine. Also disappointing is that it doesn't have a timer you can set, i.e. for 12 hrs or 18hrs. So you have to time when you make your yogurt to when you are awake/home to turn it off. Finally, the amount of yogurt made is very small; only 3.5 cups of milk. I eat yogurt daily, so that means I'll have to be making yogurt multiple times a week. No thank you.
