The product WORKS!! Thousands of Uber riders and my rear mats haven’t moved at all
There are solutions to the “moving floor mat” problem that anyone can do cheaply with a few items from a hardware store. What makes this product nice is that it’s an easy, no fuss, single item purchase, that solves the problem. What more could anyone want? Well...it turns out that this product is genius in its design, but it falls short in execution. The design is great, but the plastic used to make the product is low quality, and brittle.I found that these fastener/claws, broke during install, 50% of the time. I’m glad that I bought more than I thought I would need, and I ended up using all of them. Twice the anticipated quantity needed. The plastic is brittle... but what also contributed to the plastic breaking was that the car floor has only a minimal amount of carpet thickness and padding. When using a hammer to strike the top of the claws to install them, they go fully through the carpet and pad, and hit the metal floor of the car.I have a Honda CR-V EXL. It’s top of the line Honda, but still a Honda. An Escalade or Mercedes May have thick enough padding so the claws don’t hit metal during install. But it’s likely the most common user of this item is a person with a widely sold car and not a specialty car. So most people are likely going to have minimal padding and thus are at risk of breaking the claws. Now for the good news. This product solves the problem. The product does work. I drive Uber and give 20-30 rides a day. EVERY TIME a rider got out, the carpet mats were shoved and crumpled up under the front seats and jammed under the center console. After EVERY TRIP, I had to reach behind the front seats, and straighten the mats for the next trip. I was going insane. I couldn’t figure out what the heck the riders were doing with their feet back there to create such a mess.I researched on the web for ways to keep the mats in place. I went to the dealership and auto parts stores, asking dozens of people in the car business and other Uber drivers, for feedback on how anyone else had solved this problem. No one had an answer. No one knew of a solution. The closest idea to a solution I could find was a DIY YouTube video by a guy who had crafted a solution using grommets, and self tapping screws yadda yadda. His solution was inexpensive. (a few dollars) and it clearly works. But it was kinda time consuming. It wasn’t quick and easy at all. Then by total luck, I stumbled upon this product. I bought it, I installed it, it works.I have had many many hundreds of riders since I installed these about 5 months ago. The mats stay exactly as placed, and many hundreds of feet, pushing and grinding as people got in and out, didn’t move the mats at all.More good news. The color grey of the product matches the factory carpet. Nice. They’re hardly noticeable. It seems that the brittle plastic is not an issue once installed. I feared that all the foot traffic, pushing on the mats over time, might break the plastic or the claws might gradually pull loose and need to be installed again. It turns out that my fears are unfounded. None of these concerns came true.Once installed, these claws are super performers in every way. Just make sure you buy twice as many as you think you’ll need because 50% may break during installation.NOTE: For my Honda CRV, there are 2 mats in the rear. They “mate” in the center, creating what asthetically appears as one continuous mat from left to right. I used THREE claws for EACH SIDE, for a total of SIX claws. I recommend a minimum of 3 claws per mat. I wouldn’t count on just 2 to hold properly. With only 2 claws per mat, each claw has to do too much work. Use a minimum of 3 per mat. Larger vehicles may be better with 4 per mat.

Satisfied customer
Love this product. Something so simple made such a big difference. Got tired of my car mats curling up. The car mats were constantly rubbing against your legs curled up but these screw in clips took care of that. Would definitely recommend this product.
