This is for help organize under the sink , for example I use for keep My kitchen supplies ,example counter cleaner, sponges ,dishwasher soap, etc. It is strong but not for microwave support. **Q: How tall is the area in the basket? Could cleaning products stand up in the drawer instead on the top shelf?** A: The drawer is about 8 1/2" tall. Some cleaning products will fit. For instance I have Bar Keeper's Friend in mine. It's about 6 1/2" tall. I find this unit to be very useful. **Q: What is the tallest size that will work in the bottom drawer? Can the flat top be removed, don’t need it?** A: You can put items up to about 8” tall in the drawer. The top shelf cannot be removed as the legs are permanently attached to it.
