Q: My tips are black & look very rusty/dirty. Will this bring back the black color?

I don't believe so, this is polish/cleaner. I think it would try to remove the black. Try ketchup or coca cola and very fine bronze wool.

Q: will this product remove light scratches on borla's polished exhaust tips?

No. It's good for removing water spots and light oxidation

Q: Will this product work remove stains to have come from the road? The heat from the pipes appears to have melted the stains on.

It has taken every stain and the carbon from the direct injection motor on my GTI. The tips get pretty hot, but not as hot as on a motorcycle. It has worked for ne on my GTI. Hope that helps

Q: Can I use this on hot surfaces like chrome headers and bdq pits?

Yes. I use it on exhaust parts and I have a turbo car. Not a problem at all. Doesn’t make any fun smell or anything. Of course, I would let it cool a bit before I polished it, lol.
