Bad Dog

I'm a fan of both the horror and mystery/detective genre, so this is book was right up my alley. I've never been crazy about animals in horror novels for some reason, but this one is different from what you might expect, so I would highly recommend this book to fans looking for a twist to a classic genre. I'm a big fan of female horror authors, so it was also cool to get to read an "up and coming" writer's work - hope she publishes more books in the future.

I got this book because the author and I are both SK fans and share a love of his novels. It is her first book - and I think she's off to a great start! I liked the story line and the characters, and will watch for her future novels as I think she's got a lot of writing to do in her future.

I loved this book! Great characters, great plot, and awesome buildup of tension. All I want to know is when will the sequel come out!

This book is amazing. I wish it had been longer! Kay Oliver demonstrates an amazing talent for writing. It's a definite page turner. I cannot wait for her next book.

I read this book in one day - I enjoy a good mystery and suspicion. For a ne published author, I am impressed and will watch for your next published pieces!

This was not a book, but a short story that lasted too long. I hated the main character and the ham handed way the story pointed to the culprit who was doing the killing was a disappointment. The cat who appeared out of no where in order to present the presents on the front step was just bizarre also. I had no respect for the main character staying with her abusive boyfriend in this day and age. Too many ways to hit the road, Jack. I will give this two stars as the author did write it and had a plan and plot. It was not bad enough to be tongue in cheek, so I think the awful was not intentional. Not on my lists of authors to seek out.

I almost put it down over anger at the portrayal of the main character. Seriously? She is beaten by a man constantly yet doesn't think he is an abuser? She hates to think she will never see him again? Oh please, tell me there are no real women like that one. Of course there are battered women but this girl met the man on the net and let him move into HER home drive her car, spend her paycheck and he spent his days at the bar with no job. It's not like she was dependent upon a husband and had children. Unrealistic.And the rest of it and the way it ended was strange.I do not recommend wasting time reading this.

Great book! An intriguing thriller that satisfies.
