Neat , efficient unit. Good value for money
Russell Hobbs RHDH1001 10 Litre/Day DehumidifierAs noted elsewhere this item is surprisingly heavy for its size. I can't quite work out why it needs to be so heavy but it's well made and well designed. It's stylish looking, no doubt about it. The removable container holds just under 3 ltrs of water. The manual states that it will function right down to 5 degrees C but I doubt that it would be very efficient at such a temperature. The efficiency seems to drop off below around 10 degrees C. At normal household temperatures it works very well indeed. The control panel is easy to understand. Russell Hobbs have labelled one of the settings as "SILENT" which is slightly misleading because this setting is anything but silent. In fact it's a low power mode which uses half the power with a correspondingly reduced output. Admittedly it's slightly quieter but I think "LOW" would have been a better description. The refrigerant used is R290 propane. It can be hard to see how much water is in the collection tank but it shuts off when it's full of course.

Good Product
I like the dehumidifier's compact size, which makes it easy to place in corners or behind furniture. It seems well-suited for addressing dampness in small rooms or tackling slight damp in any room size. However, I've noticed that the product can be noisy, underperforms, and tends to heat up.

A Powerful Dehumidifier!
It is a powerful dehumidifier. I still couldn't find a way to put it in sleep mode. It's not that noisy, but I don't leave it in the same room while I'm sleeping. On rainy days, I leave it in the other room while I sleep. The laundry dries quickly too.!

Lowered relative humidity in small room by about 10% in winter.
I've got this in my small bedroom as I was experiencing consistent mould issues when temperatures dropped.I keep it in the corner by my bed where the moisture tends to gather most.I've had to keep in on at all times to stay around 60% humidity. Sometimes I'll get down to 54%, and that's going from an average of 64% before-hand. I have a hygrometer which I calibrated using a cigar humidity regulatory system recently so I know it's accurate. Not sure how power efficient this is, probably not very. Couldn't seem to find the wattage or any decent technical specifications online for some reason.Easy to empty when it's full and a light will let you know when that's needed. Just wish there was an automatic on/off based on sensed humidity but I guess you have to pay more for such features.

Excellent quality, large size and works very well.
This dehumidifier is used in my kitchen because I drymclothes on a clothes horse, have a condensing tumble dryer and cook, all in quite a small space that unless you have the window open for all of these things will get damp in my kitchen. During the winter it is too cold and I don't want the windows open. I do still open them but don't have to have them open as long.I have used this with the drawer to collect the water and works very well but found it tricky to manoeuvre and found the drawer when full tricky for me to carry as I have physical problems. When filled with water the drawer is heavy. The unit itself has wheels and a handle on too this means it can be pushed to move it.I have a lot of condensation in my kitchen and have placed it on my worktop with the hose running into my kitchen sink. This saves me having to empty the unit. I clean the filter every other day to ensure it keeps working properly or lint will build up. I have the hose running load than the level of the dehumidifier to ensure proper drainage. This unit worked at straight away and started to collect water. The unit can be turned to a quite setting but does not empty as well and can be put on a timer. You can also set the humidity you want. I turn mine to 'silent' when I am not cooking, have tumble dryer on or have laundry drying. Otherwise I have it on auto where it will just run all the time. This unit blows cold air from the top of it and this needs to be kept clear from anything and it needs space at the front and back so it works properly. This is an excellent dehumidifier and has empty out so much water and I know it saving me money because I don't have to have the windows open and heating on high to keep the house warm and is stopping my getting damp in the future.
