Great book
What a cliffhanger, I do Hope Almi can help Poseiden before it is too late! This was a great start to The Poseiden Trails where we follow Almi in her quest to help her sister and now Poseiden not turn to stone. Now we have to wait and see what happens to Poseiden in the Trials in book 2.

Another winner in my eyes
Almi is a water nymph with no magic and she is also Poseidon’s secret bride. She was exiled to the human realm, being forced to leave her sister behind, who seems to have fallen under some sort of mysterious sickness. Almi’s mission is to track down the Olympian artifacts that will lead her to the cure for the sickness turning her sister to stone. Unfortunately, her hunt for these artifacts leads her right back to where it all began. To save her sister, Almi must find her answers in Poseidon’s kingdom, and face Poseidon himself, who has his own secrets. Forced into competing at the Poseidon Trials the truth will come out, well a few truths will. This is an exciting first book in the newest series by the brilliant author Eliza Raine. All the characters have started out great. Eliza has a fantastic talent for making characters life-like and relatable. The world-building is superb, but I expect nothing less from this author. I basically will read anything she writes as I know that I am going to be completely immersed in another world and a fantastic tale is going to be told.I loved this book, as I have the others, and I can not wait to read the next book in the series!

Loved it!
I've been so excited for The Poseidon Trials to start, we've met him briefly in the other books but I really wanted more of his story and now I finally have it. Almi got banished from Aquarius to the human realm eight years before the story starts, she was dragged away from her sister who needs her help and she's going to do just that.I loved how determined Almi was throughout the story, she's a little broken but she doesn't let that stop her at all. Even with no powers, she faces off against gods and monsters and won't let them scare her. Well, she is scared but she also knows her end goal. There's definitely tension between her and Poseidon and I loved the brief heated moment between the two, and the fact it left her so confused.I can't wait for the next one in this series.

Almi and Poseidon book 1
8years earlier Almi is secretly married to Poseidon, and then banished to the human world, and her sister put in a deep sleep. Now she has found a way to return to Aquarius with a plan to save her sister. She must steal Poseidons magic ship. Not an easy task for someone with no magic powers.A fantastic book with several challenges, twists and turns. With a cliffhanger of an ending that leaves you wanting more.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

WOW!
I don't normally do reviews BUT straight to the point! I read the Hades Trials back in 2021, didn't even realize there was more to read with the Poseidon Trials and so on, but this was so good just as the Hades Trials were, and I couldn't put the book down, and had to dive right into the next, and honestly adding Kyrvo into the story to help Almi along the way was so sweet and just added a nice touch to the story, if you enjoy gods and goddesses, trials, and character growth along with a steamy water god, well THE water god himself Poseidon I definitely would give this trilogy a read! You will not regret it!

A great start into this series!
SECRET OF THE BROKEN KING is a great series starter! It follows Almi, a water nymph with no magic and Poseidon’s secret bride. Now exiled to the human realm, Almi’s mission in life is to track down the Olympian artifacts that will lead her to the cure for the sickness turning her sister to stone. Her search, however, leads her right back to where she started. In order to save her sister, Almi must find her answers in Poseidon’s kingdom, and face Poseidon, who harbors a secret of his own. Things take an even more unexpected twist when she unwillingly finds herself involved in the Poseidon Trials… What happens next? Well, you’ll have to read the book to find out! While the story has lots of action throughout, being stuck in Almi’s head while she has no other characters to interact with gave the perception of a slow start for the first half of the book. Luckily, I immediately warmed up to her as a character! Her sharp tongue and sass made her immediately relatable, and I found kinship in her love for her sister. Lily and Almi’s bond reminded me of the one between my sister and me, so I was really rooting for her to succeed in her search for a cure from the get go. The second half of the book was by far the most engaging. The succession of plot twists had me glued to the pages, and so did Poseidon. Give me a broody, white-haired man and I’m sure not to move away from a book ever again! I loved the banter between Almi and Poseidon, and I’m 100% convinced there is more to their past than Almi is aware of, which made me desperate for their interactions. I wish we’d gotten more of them together, but what we got was addicting, and I can’t wait for the next book. The ending is brutal for my shipper heart!

Poseidon
Ok 4stars. I didn’t care for the first 4-5 chapters and almost gave up on it.Kept persevering and it got a lot better. It ended up being an easier read and interesting read. I will keep going.

Wow!
I wasn’t sure I would like this type of story, but man did Eliza Raine hit it out of the ballpark with this one. It’s exciting with twists and turns that I wasn’t expecting. I’m finding that I’m loving this unique story surrounding the Greek gods. Can’t wait to start on Book 2.

great read!
After the Hades Trials and Ares Trials, this was a great continuation of the mythical world Eliza Raine has created.I love the slow burning romance and getting to see the character fall for the supposed villain. All in all, I couldn’t put it down. I definitely recommend reading it.
