It was very easy to apply; it took me under two hours, including the time spent on cleaning the upholstery before applying this. Definitely wear gloves and a N-95 mask to keep the fumes at bay. I applied it in our garage with the door up. I then closed the garage but left the car's windows down for 6-8 hours after the application, and have noticed no odor since.Despite claims that it won't change the feel of your upholstery, I found that it does change it a bit, and for the better, in my case. It's given what was already a good synthetic leather in my Cadillac Optiq a more luxurious, satiny texture, making it seem even more like real leather. It did not alter the color or shade of the upholstery at all.It will be interesting to see how good this is at preventing staining.
