The screen comes with various screwdriver heads and tools, which are helpful for the repair process. However, I found that having a pair of tweezers, both a fine-point and a flat-end was essential for handling small, delicate components like the battery port and fragile cables, as well as for positioning tiny screws. Since tweezers aren’t included, I recommend having your own on hand.The instructions provided are clear up until the screen removal. I found a helpful YouTube video that walked me through the reassembly steps. The included paper mentions an official video tutorial, but I didn’t check it out.After connecting the new screen and powering on the device, it worked well initially. Unfortunately, once the battery drained, the screen stopped functioning. I contacted customer support, and they promptly sent me a replacement.I installed the new screen, tested the camera, and left the device on. So far, everything is working perfectly. I highly recommend this product!

The screen works perfectly and is of very high quality! Although I was initially hesitant to replace it myself, the process turned out great, and I’m glad I did it. It took me about 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete.There were a couple of minor drawbacks:The provided instructions were lacking, so I watched a 25-minute YouTube video that guided me flawlessly through the process. Highly recommended.The screwdrivers included in the kit were not the best quality. One became stripped by the end and was no longer usable. Fortunately, I had another set of small screwdrivers on hand. I recommend purchasing a separate, higher-quality toolkit for it.

My screen was not cracked. It did a weird thing where it would work for 1-10 minutes and eventually shut off. I assumed it was a hardware issue as it did the same thing after switching accounts. So I bought screen.I am amazed with this screen. The price was perfect. The directions are right on.The screen looks to be a 100% exact replacement. Inspecting old and new side to side. I could not tell the difference between them. The camera works fine. The colors of the screen looks good. Maybe there is a bit too much white? I am super satisfied . The tools are fine, they are better than single use.This a complex install in my opinion. It’s not for beginners because there are so many tiny screws. All screw are smaller than a grain of rice. Half of them less than 1/8 grain. So small I almost needed a magnifying glass. They were like a speck of dust. Other than the size of screws, wrangling the hinges in to the frame were the most challenging part. Follow directions and you will be fine.Would buy again. I hope I never need to tho!After less than a month the screen has failed.There were no signs it might fail. I followed the instructions. Everything worked perfectly. The camera worked great too. It was 5 stars when it was working.Super disappointed.

I do video production for a living, so I'm very picky with image quality. This replacement screen really impressed me — you can't tell the difference from the original. The brightness is just as good, and the colors are surprisingly accurate, way better than I expected for the price.The instructions could definitely be better, but with the help of a YouTube video, the installation was easy. It took me about 45 minutes going step by step.The exterior finish and color also match the original perfectly. I had been suffering with my old screen for a while — weird colors and dark vertical bands — and this fixed everything.Time will tell about durability, but just in case, I purchased the ASURION 3-Year B2B Electronics Protection Plan ($175–$199.99) for $31.99. The screws are incredibly tiny—be prepared with good tools and lots of patience.I’ve noticed some mild flickering on medium-to-dark grey backgrounds (like in the Messages app or Chrome home screen), but nothing noticeable during normal video playback or casual browsing.Bottom line:If you're confident in your small motor skills and have the right tools, this is a solid replacement that’s well worth the money. Just be ready for a tricky install.

When I completed the 2020 Macbook Pro M1 screen install, my screen looked like I was going to have to return it. It had lines everywhere and if I moved it, the screen would go black. A restart would bring the screen back. I noticed, I had the New macOS Sequoia 15.3.1 update pending, so before I wrote a bad review/or returned the item.. I ran the update. The update resolved all issues. I was able to move the screen, without the screen going black. No distortion/lines on screen, Fixed the digital display on keyboard back to normal functionality. My camera looks better than when I first turned it on. Not the best, but better.If your macOS is up to date, you may want to search for any updates that might help with the new hardware.Overall, Happy with the results and at this point and I would buy again.Thank you guys for suppling the tools I needed to complete the replacement!
