Q: Are they good for indoors on berber carpet?

not sure, but they certainly scratched up our hard wood floors!

Q: what size is best for a 7 year old - the 24 or the 28"?

My almost 10 year old has no trouble with the freestyle (24") model. I even give it a whirl now and then and I'm 5'2"

Q: I want to get one board for a 3 year old and her not so sporty parents, which size should i get? freestyle or pro. thanks for your help.

We have the freestyle & my kids (ages 9-18) use it, along with myself.. my 18 year old is 6'4, so if he can use it, I'd think anyone can! It's very sturdy
