How to open it? Is it a flipper? I am not seeing any nail groove as well.

Its easy to open and it doesn't have a nail opener and its not a flipper! The one I have really impressed me of how well its made plus it comes sharp

what are the decorations suposed to be?

Nothing in particular I don’t think. Just some squiggly lines but don’t let it put you off, it’s a great knife, super sharp and really sturdy.

It has a lock WHEN IT IS OPEN! It does NOT locked closed. I am an old man who has always carried a pocket knife. (My generation used to wear hats and open car doors for ladies also.) If you are a female (I'm guessing because of your name) do NOT consider carrying this for defense. I don't. I use it to open boxes, cut rope and twine etc. I carry a gun for personal protection. You should consider something else than this for protection ( chemical mace, pepper spray, a stun gun etc.) This is too clumsy, very sharp and could be used against you because you need to get close to defend yourself and could be overpowered. As a former law enforcement officer I do NOT recommend a knife of any kind as a personal defense weapon for a female. Sorry if I went too far "Jen".
