As The Stages Burn!

I watched the main portion of the DVD this evening and have not yet seen the other parts, but wanted to write this before I forget... This show is impeccable! Alissa is an outstanding singer and front-woman, and Jeff fits perfectly into this band. The staging, lights, pyro, mixing and editing are all excellent, and the performances are both technically precise and aesthetically stunning. This is an amazing bargain! Thank you to all who made this possible.

Love this concert! The audio and video quality was great and the band is awesome and Alissa totally kicks ass!

Incredible to listen to and the dvd to watch

Arch Enemy can do no wrong (well, at least on this album). I listen to this again & again, great sound and choices of songs.

its well done, but for me, i would prefer if the music, was over the vocals, this is the opposite, the voice drowns out the music, but to each his own.....if your a fan, you will like it

If you like Satan music it’s great! Well produced and the music is top notch. My only complaint is that on the DVD they don’t show Jeff Loomis playing his solos which is why I bought the damn thing! You can see every note of Armott though. :) I wish Iron Maiden’s newer CDs sounded like this one.

Still need to watch the Dvd But the Power of this band live is Amazing and the Vocalist just tears if up... the lady can Growl with the Best of them.. and Behind her is one Tight Band...

...hatte ich doch in meiner grenzenlosen Naivität geglaubt, man veröffentliche dieses grandiose Konzert von AE in der Version auf DVD, wie es von diversen Medien vom Wackener Festival verbreitet wurde. Fast täglich habe ich mir wochenlang den Höhepunkt des 2016er Festivals angeschaut, bis es nach und nach aus den Veröffentlichungsforen verschwand. Hatte ich doch diese Vorahnung im Blut: So ein Konzert muß der Nachwelt erhalten bleiben. Ein Konzert ohne einen Makel ! Und das Wichtigste daran, mit einer Seele, die man in der Gemeinsamkeit von Bild und Ton spüren konnte. Ich habe sie im Herzen und in den Ohren knistern gehört, es hat vibriert. Nun habe ich mit großer Vorfreude diese DVD/CD erworben und war leicht geschockt, dass man ganz andere Bildsequenzen verwendet und damit dem Konzert das Herz herausgerissen hatte. Ich bin sehr traurig darüber ! Auch Metal hat doch so etwas wie eine Seele, wenn man sie nur hören kann. Trotzdem möchte ich meine Worte hier nicht als Kritik an dem Konzert selber verstehen, es ist absolute Spitze. So muß Metal heute klingen und auf die Bühne gebracht werden ! Es hat mit großer Sicherheit eine Unmenge an Energie und Arbeit bedarft,ein solches Juwel vorzubereiten um es dann der Öffentlichkeit zu presentieren. Mein Dank gilt dem grandios arbeitenden Team Arch Enemy. Gern wäre ich bei diesem Ereignis im Original dabei gewesen. Entschuldigend muß ich dabei anbringen, dass ich seit einigen Jahren im Altersruhestand bin und ich es mir nicht mehr zutraue, so etwas wie Wacken durchzustehen. Trotz meiner gefühlten Mängel, die mit Sicherheit viele Erwerber dieser DVD nicht unbedingt teilen werden, erteile ich hiermit die Bestnote. Die Empfindungen jedes Einzelnen können doch sehr underschiedlich sein, auch wenn man von ein und der selben Sache redet.

I have been listening to Arch Enemy for almost fifteen years and I think the Alissa era has been their strongest years to date. Alissa has an incredible stage presence and makes the old songs her own. Bloodstained Cross by example, is a great track in it's own right but is elevated with Alissa's vocal strengths. The CD is good to listen to but watching the DVD really adds to the experience. Having seen them in concert once before, I could only imagine how fun the Wacken show must have been.
