When the blade is extended, one can pull out the old blade and insert the new one. **Q: Is this made in USA?** A: Please include the product name. **Q: Is it safe to use on my glass topped stove?** A: I was unhappy with these scrapers. The blade does no come out properly and lock in place, like my other scraper did. In fact I I have lost one of the blades already. I do not know what happened to it. It was just not in the holder?????? Buy a better one for scaping your stove. I use oven cleaner on my stove top.
