Terrible batteries dont' waste your money
At my electrical company I have purchased thousands of dollars of Ridgid tools and batteries and only had 1 battery failure. I purchased 10 of these last Christmas for myself and employees. We have had 3 failures will not charge, even when charged up full they only last as long as a 2AH battery. Very poor quality construction also. will not release from tool like real Ridgid batteries. We have had to file/grind down the catches on the batteries to make them release from the tool more easily. Supper garbage, save your money and buy the brand name batteries and not this junk aftermarket China made product.

Believe the other 1 star reviews
Just like others have written, the latch doesn't release properly (release with one hand, smack it with the palm of the other hand) Nevertheless I don't use these that much, so I kept them. Now they are not quite 1 yr old and both died at the same time. No power, shows error on charger. I considered returning them for warranty replacement, but they made it difficult enough to do that I'm not wasting any more time trying to figure out how to do that. Do not buy these.

solid alternative
These are solid very capable generic batteries for RIDGID power tools, in my opinion. A year of heavy use and recharging with 2 of these power packs with no problems. I was really strapped for cash a couple of years ago; but I had some projects that could not wait and had to be done. So on a tight budget I decided to try something cheaper. Knowing I have been burned before trying cheaper generic replacement parts, I still decided to take a chance. This time it worked out. 5 stars
