Effective, stays in place, no expanding then falling out, and very comfortable. Best I ever had. I’ve paid more for others that were not nearly as effective. My opinion is that this is an excellent product and a super value.

Very good ear plugs . With ten pair I keep them around all my loud tools. Wish I had purchased these years ago. Well worth the purchase.

These are as described. I keep these around because they don't take up much room and I can just hang around the neck when not using. However, not always easy and quick to inset into your ears

These ear plugs are super handy. They rest around your neck and offer easy, quick access. I use them while working with dogs, inside. There are a few poochies that have piercing barks which can be painful...especially over 50yo and years of abuse to the ears. (90's grunge, lots of it... "live"!) These plugs block about 40% at most, basically the painful sounds. But definitely do not drown out the barking completely. I can still have an up-close conversation. Comfort: Yes, they are comfortable. But like most things, they take figuring out. It's likely that your ear canals are shaped differently on each side, so work with the flow, not against it. Follow? Serious work: shooting, machines of all types, construction, etc., these ear plugs will help in a pinch, but I wouldn't make a habit of it. I could see using these for a long day on the range under proper ear covers to be able to still have a conversation after removing primary covers while still maintaining secondary protection from errant sounds around you. Note: if you push them in to the limit they will block more decibels, but then they get uncomfortable. (no fear of getting them stuck with the built-in 'handle' :) And be careful with ear wax... I'm not a Dr, so all I can say is 'use your brain'.

I bought these to help reduce the high decibel noise from my electric hedge trimmer and leaf blower/vacuum. The design allows for the ear plug to fit snug into any ear size. There is a long enough handle/nub that allows one to safely insert and remove. The string is a nice feature so you can remove them and not easily lose them. However, these are just average in reducing noise. It helps, but not as much as I was hoping. My bluetooth ear buds do a better job at cutting out the noise, but my earbuds cut too much noise and is dangerous when you can't hear people/kids yelling at you. These allow one to hear people talking to you. For a point of reference, I can hear myself softly snap my finger with these on. I can hear the clicking of my computer keyboard when I type. The other issue is that when the string slides and rubs around your neck you can hear it in your ear, and kind of annoying. So, if you were hoping to completely block out noise so you can sleep, look elsewhere. Because I used one, I don't feel it's right to now return it. That's gross.

I used a pair of these for the first time last weekend to cut up a 2" x 12" board of Tatabu (a local hardwood), 16 ft long with a circular saw. I don't like to wear the over-the-ears, noise cancelling headphones, because I live in the tropics and my ears sweat when enclosed for any decent amount of time. I would normally use the conical spongy earplugs that are sold at the local drugstores here, but while they keep my ears cool, they tend to eventually slip out after a few hours of jaw movement. These fitted comfortably into my ear canals without any undue fiddling or forcing, and stayed put for the entire duration of my work probably due to their ribbed design. They blocked out enough noise that I could faintly hear when my sister was calling me, but the screech of the saw was not heard as a screech, but as a faint whine when I did the single rip cut down the length of the board. The cross cuts done with my miter saw were even quieter. The cord that joins them is very handy for if I had decided to take them out for a bit. However, they were so comfortable that I left them in until after I had finished cleaning up, cleaned off my tools, packed away the cut pieces of wood, and was then ready to take off the rest of my safety gear to head indoors. A good purchase in my opinion.
