My cat loves this bed!

The best thing about it is that it really does stand up so it's easy for the cats to go inside if they want to. The trouble is, none of my 4 cats wanted to. Initially, they mostly ignored it, took a quick look and passed by, so I got some catnip and rubbed it all over the inside and opening. They loved the catnip and a couple of them went so far as to put their noses and paws inside just to get at the catnip. The funniest thing is that one of them decided it was hers. She won't go inside it, but she lays across the opening so none of the others can. It is very soft and really good quality, but it all depends on whether or not your cat(s) will take to it.

I dunked the cat cave in laundry detergent then rinsed and sun-dried it to remove manufacturing residue & any potential health hazards to cats. The floor stuffing became displaced, and the product shrank. The cat cave is a good concept but not really cleanable.

A few people said it was small. The cat bed is as pictured, (especially all the customer pictures) and I think it is the right size for most adult cats, because the cat will be surrounded by the material and stay warm, which is the point. So far my cat has not used it, but the weather hasn't been cold since we got the bed. (It was cold for a week and she was going under blankets, but she isn't very good at blankets, so we worried she wasn't always able to stay warm, so we ordered this.) I will keep the bed in case it gets cold, so she has the option to use it. I think this bed is best for cats who like to sleep curled up, not stretched out. The bed seems high-quality. The filling has a very interesting springy feel to it, and the fleece feels like a regular fleece blanket. If I were a cat, I think I would very much enjoy this bed.Update: FYI the seller is offering me a partial refund to give this product 5 stars. I cannot be bought. If I give it another star, it will be because my cat decided to use it.Update: my cat's claw got stuck in the floor of the bed and pulled a string out. Is this a feature you want in a cat bed? Down to 3 stars.

Our cat loves to bury herself under our comforter, so I thought she'd love a warm bed she could crawl inside similar to that. This bed would not stay up in a tent-shape without very careful plumping and and regular repositioning from me and mostly just collapsed flat at the slightest provocation. It definitely would never really work as pictured/intended.However, for us, it didn't much matter that the bed wouldn't stay up/open because the cat patently refused to ever crawl inside and instead climbed on top and love, love, LOVES sleeping on top of it. It's been weeks (months?) since we got the bed, and the cat sleeps there 80% of the time now instead of in all her previous favorite spots.Essentially, neither the bed nor the cat work as intended, and here two wrongs did make a right. So, success?Update: I changed this from 3 to 5 stars. Our cat eventually figured out how to prop this open herself and now sleeps inside it alllll the time. She still loves it beyond reason and is utterly bereft when it's in the washing machine. One of our best pet purchases ever.

Sure, I kind of had to encourage/shove him in there at first, but once I did, he won’t leave. He went to go check his food dish once after about 3 hours and then immediately went back to the new cave. My cat was the runt of the litter so it fits him perfectly. But I’d say that at least half the cats I’ve seen from day to day are too large for this thing.But if you have smaller cat who likes being warm (every cat) then they will enjoy this, as long as you show them or they are curious enough on their own. It’s important to note that this thing is fairly small. It’s also rather fuzzy and seems decent quality, with no bad odor. I’ll update this review in a few months but for now it seems to be pretty great for my smaller cat.
