I used these for resplicing Christmas LED light strings, the wires are only 24 gage, so it was a little large for the wire, one thing you have to know about this, is you need to install both wires, then heat shrink it, then you can crimp it, the problem is if you tried to crimp one end, it crimps both, kind of unusual.I waisted a few. but got the job done.

Waterproof, using them for professional installations - have tried many other "insulated butt connectors". These are right up there with the name brand ones, and cost a fraction of the price. They have the "goo" that melts when heated, and makes them waterproof.

These connectors work great for joining wires that need to stand up to outdoor conditions.
