A wised-up fairy tale with a hot prince
Carrie is the good sister and she's in Scotland for her high-maintenance and glamorous sister Amanda's wedding to a wealthy British guy. When Carrie meets a hot guy sneaking around at the engagement party, she is attracted to him instantly...only to find out that it's complicated because (a) he's a prince of England and (b) he's trying to stop his older brother Jamie from creating another scandal. They join forces to make sure the wedding goes off without a hitch, flirting and growing closer. Their romance is very sweet, but not *too* sweet, if you know what I mean. There's lots of witty dialogue and plenty of sexual tension between them. It's easy to believe that a man like Edward, responsible and appropriate and totally upstanding, would be attracted to outspoken good girl Carrie. They're both the protectors/caretakers in their respective families and that creates a bond between them. When they stumble into a scandal that could have majorly disasterous repercussions for both the british royal family and her sister's wedding, they make a pact to protect their families.I was really impressed that the pacing was so good in this book without the annoying will-they-or-won't-they trope. Also, there's no misunderstanding that could be solved with a simple conversation (a pet peeve of mine as a romance reader). The obstacles to their happiness are realistic and thoughtful. I loved how loyal they both were and how generous they were with each other emotionally. This is a great one. I'll definitely be reading more.

Cute
Cute story. Quick read, before I knew it was more than halfway through the book.Really like the characters, esp the royal siblings. Can't wait to read more about them.In some ways, Carrie seemed a bit unreal/perfect. Rarely losing temper, getting mad or frustrated. She was also very quick to forgive or help.A few things didn't add up to me in the fic, why Edward lead the press down the secret passages, revealing such passages and why he and Carrie jumped into bed when they knew the press was right behind them. I understand trying to cover for his bro, but if I was the press pursuing them it would've made me suspicious that they stopped and planted themselves where they could be discovered (esp in such an obvious way), rather than getting 'caught' in a more subtle way. Also, if Carrie knew someone was interested in her shop & she needed money, why bother going through a realtor that would take a portion of that money? Those were the main things, but I understand some of it was plot driven. Still, an enjoyable story w/o interesting and unusual characters, again, the royal subs especially.

A sweet, romantic fairy tale set in modern times
What I like:I like the fact that it is a quick read, 1 1/2-3 hours depending on your reading speed. It was a sweet, romantic fairy tale set in modern times. The main characters are pretty likable. The author fleshed out the parts of the story without rambling which I like. What I dislike:The sister was a bit annoying but I think she was supposed to be. I would have liked more story towards the end.Overall:It's a nice story. It does feel like you've finished a fairy tale when you are finished reading it. It's an easy book to escape into.

Awesome & sweet, short contemporary royal romance that is entertaining. I look forward to similar books.
Awesome sweet, short, contemporary royal romance. Carrie is an American in England for her sisters wedding. While there she take a shine to a man she just met. She gives him a hard time but it turns out he is a prince, a real one. Edward is the person that keeps his other six siblings out of trouble or reduces it when he can't completely clean up. Carrie and Edward are very much alike. Unfortunately by cleaning up it causes a controversy for them. Their on again off again romance is sweet and this is a very enjoyable book. I definitely look forward to further books by this author.

Solid beginning to a series about a royal family
I enjoyed reading this book. It had all of the elements of fantasy romance- a royal and a commoner in a somewhat believable setting. The obstacles were definitely ones that a prince and an American would have. The writing was good, the secondary characters were there but didn't overwhelm the story (the author didn't use book one to set up book two which I appreciated as a reader). The reason I gave the book 4 stars and not five is that the romance between the main characters could have been better developed. The reader gets very little interaction between the two and I think a few more pages of them getting to know each other would have been worthwhile to build the story.

Princes Princes Everywhere
I enjoyed this story, the characters were likable, and it wasn't the typical "royal" romance. It had a cute storyline that made it easy to imagine the circumstances. The only thing that kept it from being 5 stars was the lack of proofing. There were so many mis-spelled words, or words that sound similar but have different meanings (past vs passed, sweet vs suite), that could have been easily fixed but created a bit of a reading annoyance. It was still worth the read, I just wish the author had taken the extra step for her readers.

Great modern fairytale romance!!!
Love this book/ aka series!!! Can’t even remember how I initially stumbled across it in the first place? I usually read regency/ historical romance. And some how this popped up as a suggestion. Well worth the investment, for a humorous well written modern fairytale romance! Just beware once you start the series, you just can’t stop!Okay, who mucked the coverwork, and Changed the book titles for the series??? They are so... grounded!!! I had new books popping up in my kindle, that I would of never bought just looking at the cover art, and my favorite books from this series disappeared, it took me forever to figure out They were the same books. Somebody just carved themselves a niche in book purgatory...

Carrie (an American) is in Scotland for her sister's wedding ...
Carrie (an American) is in Scotland for her sister's wedding, and by chance meets a cute English guy. Turns out he's next in line to the British throne, but by the time she's found that out, well, she's fallen for him. A lovely book to curl up with.
