Nice Set BUT.. Clippers Not So Hot - BAD Edge Alignment and Grind
I wanted to stop buying cheap, discount store clippers and get something with quality, that will ladt. I researched several and decided on this set. Initially, I was impressed with the case and tool assortment, but didn’t actually use the clippers until after return window closed, when I went on a trip. The clippers are a good size and are made sturdy. The small fingernail clipper is a little bigger than typical cheap clippers. All was good, until I used the two clippers. Thry left my nails with a jagged edge and don’t cut cleanly. The larger set of toenail clippers are a little better, but not for the price. I tried a couple of uses, with the same results. My wife used them with acrylic nails. Her’s didnt have as rough of edge, but still not smooth. Upon clse inspection, the isdue is blade grind and blade alignment. Cutting edges don’t meet all across the blade (see pics). There are tiny gaps, where the blades don’t meet. This causes splintered edges. I contacted the manufacturer, but got no reply. For the cost, these should cut cleanly and not require filing. Customers who buy these are hoping for a big step up in quality and good service. I got neither and went back to a Revlon set I’ve had for 20 years. Shame.

Nice, heavy, sharp. But a few comments. Case also very cheap!
I went with this set for two reasons:1) high quality stainless steel - heavy, durable, and rust resistant2) convenient carrying caseSo far, passes #1. You can usually tell by the weight of something if it is cheap carbon steel with a “stainless steel” coating. These are quite heavy, which is a good sign. One design “flaw” that was noticeable is the clippers don’t have anything to stop the level from sliding around, as shown in the picture. Not a big deal, but it’s something that was noticeable and can make it hard to close the case if it overlaps with the trimmer on the other side.#2. To be honest, the case is a cheap POS. They used a single thin piece of vinyl to make the loops to secure the clippers in the case. All it is going to take is a little too much tug, or a few months of use, and those things will break right off. Could have at least folded and sewed each piece for more durability. Pretty disappointed about this... but at least the clippers seem to be worth the money.

Totally disappointed!
It took me a while to choose nail sets for my hubby and me, and these seemed decent. Ordered black for hubby, and red for me. I received black set first, and as Prime member, was very disappointed! It was dirty, scratched all over of prior usage, debris inside of case. Immediately returned it! After that received red set, looking better, newer, butpackage was open, clippers were loose in the case, because strap which suppose to hold it was thin, bad quality, totally ripped off stuck in the clippers. Red set is going back too. Very bad experience with this seller!

Exceeded expectations!
Every detail is high quality and beautifully designed. The first thing I noticed is the leather case - very well made, good looking, and nice to the touch. Wonderful for taking the set with you. The nail clippers are excellent. A good sharp snap from edge to edge. The swivel handle does not slip while clipping. The edges are sharp, be carefull when removing from the case - use the handle or push out from the bottom! The tweezers and nail nippers are also very good quality. This set is all you need. The built in nail buffer is especially useful if you need the clippers while on the go and need to give the sharp nail edge a quick immediate smoothing. This is a very nice added feature. I am very happy I chose this product.

Does the job, does it well..
I mostly got these for the fingernail/toenail clippers, and not so much for the cuticle cutter. So I'm not sure how well that works. But the fingernail clippers are great, and they leave a nice edge that doesn't feel rough, at least in my experience. The toenail clippers are pretty much the same in that respect, they get the job done.I like how sturdy and durable these clippers seem compared to the flimsy kind you'd find at Wal-Mart or something. I definitely see these clippers lasting me for some time.Certainly worth the premium I paid on these, as you can find really cheap ones in the store for like $5-6, but I'm glad I went with these instead. Plus the travel pouch is very nice!
