Works as it should!
Works at is should with no leaks. Set up was super simple! As long as the float holds up, i donโt see why it wonโt last for a long time. It is a plus that it comes with an extra float just in case. I set it on the concrete floor to make it easier to clean instead of mounting it. It is a little rounded at the bottom but it wonโt tip so mounting it is not a must. I have 4 dogs and the size is perfect since it automatically refills. Keeps the water fresh and cool.

Solid buy, too many similar items on Amazon. Buy these.
So far so good. I hooked these up to large water reservoirs to keep livestock hydrated. They are heavy and feel like quality products. Getting the floats dialed in took some time, but was easy enough.

So far so happy, open questions
I just installed it and it seems to work perfectly. The installation was easy. At first the water only dribbled in, but that's because I moved the valve while cleaning it and didn't turn it back exactly as it was before. After fixing that the water flowed in fast and stopped when the bowl was a bit over half full. During installation I cut myself on the sharp metal edges in the back and underneath the protection, but these parts are mostly out of reach for the pets, so I'm not worried.I installed it outdoors, where the faucet is almost at ground level, the tube is about a metre long, so you'd need an extension to install it from a sink or sth.I like that the floater is hidden behind the metal flap, this way the dogs can't pull it out nor will they be frightened by the water spraying in.It holds a good amount of water, definitely enough for a big drink after playtime, anyway the idea is that there is a constant water supply. So far I'm happy with the purchase, I'll see what the future brings in regards of durability.I'd really like to know if the metal bowl is dishwasher safe though and I'm not sure if the plastic parts are food grade.Anyway a life saver for really hot days, when the dogs are home alone.Ball in the foto for size comparison.UPDATEI moved the bowl inside to avoid it becoming a wildlife fountain (and avoid infections from it). This brought up a few things:I came home to find a puddle around the bowl a few times, that's because the water can leak through the wallmount-holes in the back when the water level is too high and/or the bowl isn't exactly leveled. Since the bottom is curved it needs to be put on a stand to stay leveled. So far so good, easy fix, get a stand and turn the valve down. But for hygiene reasons and to avoid critters coming in for a drink I like to empty the bowl at night, clean it or a bit and let it dry till the next day. This brought me to realise that the valve is very sensitive and turning it upside down overnight will loosen it so the next day I came home to a puddle on the floor again. All in all: if you want to install it at the wall and outside is perfect but obviously can't be cleaned then. For inside use without fixed installment it's important to daily check the valves, connections and balances to avoid water dripping out through the back, sides, connections or by simple overflow.I'm still happy with it because this way I know my dogs will always have access to water. Maybe an inside version with flat ground would be nice. Also it might need some time for the dogs to get used to it, one of mine is afraid of the sound when water splashes in ๐ the other one is completely untroubled by it.

Easy to fill and clean
We loved this product so much, we bought 3! We have two for our chickens and one for our dog. Our lab is a messy drinker and she drinks a lot. This thing saved me time every week and since it's attached to the hose, she doesn't make a mess in the house. When it comes time to clean, simply turn the water off, wipe down, and turn the water back on! We love the automatic refill and it never leaks. We've had our dogs for a few years and had zero issues.

Great watering system
Good quality. Works exactly like it should.

Great until it leaks
Worked great for about 9 months. The water pipe started leaking and the standard water pipes in lowes do not fit. It seems the seal has to be removed for it to fit, which defeats the purpose... cause then it leaks!

Perfect for my newf
This is the perfect dog bowl for my Newfie! She is constantly drinking water and I was tired of replacing it multiple times a day. This connects with the hose and she can have as much water as she wants whenever she wants!

Great automatic water dish
Really well made, wish we bought this a lot sooner - simple to install. Just make sure you set it up in a shady spot as it will get too hot for your pooches to drink from in summer otherwise. Also remember to clean regularly, to avoid algae growth - including behind flap

Perfect water on tap for puppies
This has been perfect for our 2 dogs to have fresh clean water. My dogs also dont think its a pool so no digging in it as its at chin height not floor! Would recommend
