Eye-Catching at a low cost, does what it needs to.
I have been getting a lot of compliments on this watch since I have started wearing it. All I wanted was a wristwatch that was something simple to keep track of time at work, something that wouldn't require me to get my phone out. After over a week of wearing it, I'm ready to reflect on a couple of details; it keeps good time, only running perhaps 30 seconds fast every four to five days or so. It also definitely does self-wind through casual body movement (you can even see the pendulum through the back/inner face of the watch body), but assuming that you are like me in that you also need to sleep every night, you should count on winding it slightly in the morning as part of your routine. The watchspring is visible, making it quite easy to avoid overly winding it as well. While setting the time, the second hand does not pause, which I could see bothering some people, but generally I don't imagine a lot of overlap between people buying mechanical watches in this price range and those who will be peeved over a 20 second inaccuracy, especially as the watch doesn't keep absolute perfect time over the long term anyway. The glow in the dark parts of the watch face work, although they are not as bright as advertised. Also oddly enough, the watch's shape deliberately makes it so that the 12 and 3 and 6 positions are not the boldest positions on the watch. Indeed, there are three especially bold spots rather than the usual one, two, or four, and they are placed equidistant from each other around the face, in the 1, 5, and 9 spots. For a buyer who isn't familiar with analog timekeeping as a habit, I could see this being a problem as it'd be easy to confuse oneself (especially between the 12 and 1 positions), but I don't find the watch difficult to read at all as I've used analog watches since I was a kid, and the shape/positioning of the hands is enough by itself to know what time it is. It's also not as though the watch lacks face markings, and importantly it's not as though the markings are in incorrect places; there's even a level of utility to having the 1, 5 and 9 bolded, what with many people's work days starting at 9, ending at 5, with lunch at 1pm. I could posit other reasons but I believe that the primary reason is fashion. The watch looks good - it looks REALLY GOOD. As I mentioned at the beginning, I get complimented multiple times daily about it. Often people seem incredulous that I got it for such a low price. As far as my satisfaction goes, it's a good timepiece that won't require electricity if we lose our civilization to some kind of apocalypse. It keeps time well without needing constant attention and without needing me to interact with a computerized system. I haven't been rough on it but I get the impression that it could take a licking and keep on ticking, pun obviously intended (except for the licking part, although my cat does LOVE to mash his face against it and lick it).

Very worth the price
The style and size is great the automatic function works well. I wanted a budget watch to get into collecting and this was it the unboxing experience felt like a high-end watch. Would they give you an authenticity card and everything. It takes a little bit to get used to reading it but once you do, it’s worth it. The strap is very comfortable. Ignore all the reviews that say it broke. I think they must’ve been defects because mine works perfectly fine. The glow feature is perfect for night and it is very bright, but not too bright. Being able to see the watch. Move on the inside is very cool. Overall great product and worth the price. The quality is very good for the price. Everything’s real metal and what feels like high-quality glass. I’ll give an update in a few months of how it’s going.

Mechanical = no batteries needed. Slick design that appears to be exquisite.

Junk
This watch never kept time since the date received. The product guide is incorrect and for a digital watch. This is a good looking, yet total waste of money watch. Do not buy!!

Maximum bling for the dollar
I always wear a watch, generally a smartwatch, and I have a fairly large collection of unusual watches. Lately I've been looking for something eye-catching that would start conversations but wouldn't cost much. I got this watch yesterday and it really fills the bill. I've always been a fan of the triangular design of the classic Hamilton Electric and I like that this watch follows that design. Since I was looking for bling I considered the metal link band, but thought that would send the watch over the top. After wearing this watch with the black silicone strap I can tell you that for me it strikes just the right balance. The metal band would have been too much and would have distracted from the shape of the watch case. The combination for me of the gold tone case and hands, the black dial, the visible mechanical movement and the oversized crown just works. I'm sure the watch will get second looks when I wear it around other watch folks. I have only had the watch for an overnight so far, so I can't comment on accuracy or reliability, but it ran overnight sitting on my desk and still shows the correct time, so if it's inaccurate it's not grossly so. I rated the watch four stars instead of five to give me room to go up or down based on my experience over the next few weeks, so expect an update. I also held off on the Accuracy and Giftable ratings for the same reason, since I don't want to give someone a watch that breaks quickly or fails to tell time, no matter how cool it looks. My one criticism of the design is the emphasis on the time markers on the three corners. Because of the asymmetric design, this means the large markers are on the 1, 5 and 9 o'clock positions, which makes the 12:00 marker look less important and makes it a bit difficult to read the watch. This is especially true since holding your wrist naturally while typing, for example, puts the 1:00 marker at the top of the watch and makes it look like 12. This was an issue on the original Hamilton design too, and they dealt with it by putting a very strong horizontal element across the center of the face (it was an electric, so they used a stylized lightning bolt) and using a different emblem for the 12:00 marker to make it stand out. That's a small change but it would really improve the readability of the watch. Otherwise, especially in the black/gold model I bought, it is very glanceable. Less important, I'd personally like to see more precision in the casting of the case, which looks a bit like cast and plated plastic, but that's secondary, and for the price of this watch it's hard to really complain. It's offset by the clean-looking skeleton movement; between the balance wheel, the rotating weight for the winder and the sweep second hand there's lots of motion to look at. In short, if you're looking for a dressy watch that doesn't look like everyone else's, this is positively one to consider.

That’s a cheap band
Nice watch, but the band is very cheap and if you take the watch off because it’s an automatic, it doesn’t have a long enough spring to keep it running for at least an hour or so so you’re always resetting the time if you take your watch off but as far as that, it’s a great watch
