A very good collection of various essays on Texas and the Civil War by many noted historians and authors. Very informative for those interested in little known facts and events of Civil War Texas and the Trans-Mississippi. I have enjoyed it immensely.

A terrific read that clearly and concisely records events relevant to Texas leading up to, during, and subsequent to the Civil War. Recommended by the Texas State Historical Society, and me!
