True Choice24" Replacement Swivel Ring Base for Recliner Chairs and Other Swivel Base Seating (24 inch)

My favorite chair is a leather, swivel rocker/recliner that is about 5 yrs old. In the past few months; the chair seemed a bit unstable, and, as it turns out; 3 out of 4 of the steel wheel base arms were actually broken! In my search for repair options, I found this product, for which the reviews turned out to be right on the money. The part was not only exactly what I needed; it is much sturdier, and better quality than the original base. This is a $1,500 chair, so you'd think the base would be heavy duty, but when you compare them, the replacement is obviously superior. Installation took about 20 minutes, but only because it was a little awkward removing the screws on the existing base. Once I removed it, it broke into 3 pieces on the floor! It took about 5 minutes to install the new one. Great purchase.

It perfectly replaced the swivel rocker piece that broke off our leather rocker recliner from Rooms To Go. Awesome!!

Now I can swivel large armchair to face the window or fireplace!

This is a high quality heavy duty swivel base and is well made. Excellent customer service.I added this 24” swivel base to my rocking recliner. To attach the base to the recliner I purchased one 1/2” thick 2’x 3” oak board from Lowe’s any hard wood will do. Bolts and nuts can be purchased at harbor Freight Tools for a few bucks. Cut the board in half ...when attaching the boards to the frame of the chair make sure to counter sink the bolts. Next attach swivel base to the boards. Mock and pre drill the holes before final assembly. If you’re handy this should be a easy installation.

I had a stationary recliner sitting next to a very large double window but my large screen TVs was mounted directly across the room on the opposite wall. Needless to say, it was very difficult for me to turn my head for a long period of time to view the television shows. Purchasing and installing my Swivel Ring Base was like buying a bran new recliner. It made my transition from window watching to television watching a piece of cake. I highly recommend buying the Swivel Ring Base for anyone needing to switch their views to different parts of the room.

I bought this to add a swivel feature to my dads recliner. Its sturdy, rotates easily, smoothly, and he loves it. You need to purchase hardware separately though. The base uses 1/4" carriage bolts, I tried using 1" with a nylon locknut, but it was a touch short (mounting onto 3/4" plywood). I used 1-1/2" carriage bolts and made sure they cleared the motor/mechanism in the bottom of the chair (1-1/4 would have worked, but were not stocked). All is well, and now he can turn his chair to join the conversation in his living room (if he chooses too. lol).

These were great. We converted our recliners to spinning recliners. Worked great!
