I must admit I was nervous about buying this pole chainsaw given there were no previous reviews and when it turned up I wasn't convinced it was going to be up to the job. I decided to persevere on the basis that even if it only lasted for this job it was £160 well spent. I was very wrong about it and have just finished a week's worth of cutting both sides of a 200 metre long hedge and have brought it down from 12 feet to 3 feet. The hedge was ash, holly, hazel & oak and trunks were 20cm+ in places. It was a breeze using this saw for the job - no petrol fumes, no clogging up carburettor, no tuning issues, no noise, lightweight and plenty of battery life - perfect. I also bought the matching hedgecutter which doubled battery life but you get plenty of working time with one. Despite the extreme work I put the saw to it has stood up well & even the chain has lasted well. A great buy & highly recommended !

Until now I've used my Stihl hand chainsaw to precariously cut thick taller branches. But this is so much easier and safer, and is so simple to use. Because the chain is a distance from you, it feels safe to use, and does a really good job even on relatively thick branches. My only gripe is that it does push bits of smaller branches into the bottom cog of the chain, causing the chain to pop off occasionally. I'm sure the manufacturer could easily fix this but its a minor gripe - the chain is simple to reaffix. Found the battery lasted along time.

Used to cut down some tree branches and job done and battery life still good, can snatch a little but if using the strap and firm hold no problem

10 mins to assemble and add oil (make sure you put the chain on the right way up!!) and off you go. I had some low limbs to lop on a Wallnut tree and a big old Oak - biggest was 4inch diameter and the saw worked really well. The weight is fine for me but my wife thought it heavy for more than 10 mins or so!! Really liked this saw and perfect for my use case!!

The saw is unable to cut through the branches of a holly tree or a butterfly bush without the chain slipping. Rubble from the tree collects inside the housing of the blade.Only manages to cut through thin branches of trees with a lot of pressure.
