Once Upon a Time in the West [Blu-ray]

totally awesome. I got a multi-region version- so it plays here. the inside cover has this fantastically detailed book and the cover art is amazing. the film restoration and sound quality is superb. this is an intimate top 20 classic any day.

AWESOME movie.

Star studded cast(+). Disjointed story and editing(-). Minimalist dialog(+/-). Good atmosphere and wardrobe(+). Terrible soundtrack(-). Acting - meh.Time has not been kind to this movie. It has not improved with age.Classic Sergio Leone spaghetti type western.Still worth the effort to watch.

GOOD MOVIE

A colossal disappointment. Basically a flimsy few pages of re-print of the content that came with the DVD Digipack a few years ago. This time the colour palette is a muted grey, not even the pale orange of the DVD to add interest.The disk appears to be just a repackage of the existing release, certainly has an older date on it.If you already have the existing blu and the older dvd pack, then don't waste any money on this.

This is about the digibook version.The film itself is five stars. It's one of my faves so I don't mind having multiple copies.The 50th Anniversary Digibook is wholly underwhelming. For a start, It's nothing like the digibooks of years passed. It's not even a book, as such; this one is a stapled booklet glued onto the cardboard outer. And it's thin. Like a malnourished animal thin. Digibooklet would be more accurate.Other digibooks would at least be bound and glued and feel like a book.The info in the booklet is nothing new; as mentioned in other reviews, it's a rehash of what came with the DVD from years ago. Some of it's not even interesting. I knew this before buying so not really an issue. Something new, however, could surely have been created for this anniversary release.Overall it's a poor way to acknowledge a 50th anniversary. It's like the birthday card you'd buy for a sister-in-law as an afterthought.The right price for this release would be under a tenner. If you don't have a previous copy, then sure, grab this one. It offers nothing more and nothing less than the other releases.

I have never seen this film before and realy enjoyed it, Good story acting ect, You can choose from restored version or cinema version I choice restored and loved the picture on HD blu ray, Nearly 5 stars ****

I have several copies of this film. This one has a nice booklet with it, It is the same Blu ray version as past.Doubt they could do a 4K as it is an old film. Doubt it will ever me remade, but many have used it as inspiration for other films........
