Car Keyless Entry System (KS023)

I was amazed to find this product an even more amazed by the price. I haven't installed it yet. It looks easy in the videos I've seen. I'm really looking forward to using it!

This was a shelter in place COVID-19 boredom purchase that I installed on my 2001 Corolla LE with equipped power locks. I got this thinking it would be straightforward but I ended up popping fuses on the unit when connecting to the +12V lock signal and depressing the lock button the key fob. Pulled out my multimeter and found out that my locks operate off of a constant +12V signal and the actuators are triggered by continuity with ground (negative trigger). So despite some of the reviews for other similar keyless entry units stating to connect the yellow wires to +12V I actually had to connect them to ground. I confirmed this by looking for continuity with ground when pressing the lock button inside the car.After a few hours of scratching my head I figured it out and got it installed and working correctly. I didn't connect the lights or horn because I actually don't want it flashing lights or honking when I lock/unlock via the keyfob. I was tempted to install the little LED light that flashes when armed but believe it or not I think that would attract even more attention to this crappy car. When I bought this kit the silver key fob option was .50 cents cheaper so I ended up with the silver key fobs. It was $15 at the time of purchase and right now it's $16. The key fobs look really nice, actually. Kind of funny for such a junky car.

I've used products like these it's on and off for years, but I was pleasantly surprised by the design of this kit, unlike others. And the price is very affordable. This kit comes with everything you need to tap into an existing lock system in almost any car. I used this system in my 88 Lincoln Town Car successfully.However, one thing I do recommend that the instructions do not make clear... If you are wiring into a unlock/lock relay switching system, like many older cars, you need to use diodes for both the unlock and lock signal wires from the box. Otherwise while the box is inactive, it can give feedback and create a closed current for both the unlock and lock signal.Other than that, I highly recommend this kit for an experienced technician. Especially for the price. My favorite thing is the sleak remote design.

was easy to install. bought a beater car and im so used to keyless entry, that i needed one of these. i just used 4 wires. it works flawless. i did not wire the lights and i dont mind not having it. small box too so its easy to hide. lets see how long it last.

The Lock feature works just fine. Easy to lock and unlock the car. Installation is not that easy. You will have to find a Certified Auto Mechanic that has "Michell on Demand". It's a on line company that the mechanic can find wiring schematics for your car. Once you have the schematics, things can move ahead nicely. Value for the money ..... OUTSTANDING!
