Fanny Crosby

I have always loved Fanny Crosby's life story since I had a VHS of her life and times. I'm happy to have a dvd of it now. The dvd was packaged well and in good condition.Thank you for making it available. It's been on my wish list for nearly a year.

I enjoyed every minute of this documentary. It contained things that I never knew about Fanny Crosby and her songs and poetry.

This documentary is too short to fully convey the full life of Fanny Crosby! At 46 minutes it uses reenactments and narration to tell Crosby’s story. This production seems to be a segment of a faith-based series featuring select people of faith. The production values are adequate and the pacing is steady and coherent. For what it is, it does provide an informative overview of her life. With that said, she is deserved of a more exhaustive documentary (she lived to be nearly 95, so there is a lot to tell!). Reading a related biography will be needed for details.Despite being blinded as a child she became a prolific songwriter and was a house-hold name in the late 19th century. She is best known for her over 8,000 hymns she either wrote, or co-wrote. Many are still utilized to this day. In addition, she also composed patriotic songs and secular songs. If this were not enough of an impressive accomplishment, she was also a teacher, speaker, missionary, and in many ways could be considered an activist for the blind. Above all, she was putting her faith in God into action – an example we should follow!

Wonderful story about a significant Christian woman who wrote some 9,000 poems and Christian hymns. A remarkable woman who did all that she would accomplish in spite of being blinded by medical quack in early childhood. No bitterness or anger or losing her sight physically. God more than made that up to her by giving great spiritual insight. An inspiration to so many lives that she touched and still continues to touch. Appropriate for every Christian library.

I love this biography of Fanny Crosby, all the information and facts about Fanny Crosby were true in this video. Even though I thought this 45 minute video was going to be short, it really wasn't. They had more than enough information about her life. What an inspiration she was and an encouragement to follow and trust God.

This DVD is pitiful. It's on 45 minutes and very overpriced. I have two books written about Fanny Crosby and they are 10 times better than this short, poorly done video. I am very displeased that I purchased it.

The DVD is a short 46 minutes but still some good information here. If you're a Fanny Crosby fan you will find this DVD is good enough but I think reading a book about Fanny's life would be a whole lot better experience. The quality is about as good as a inexpensive TV documentary but the commentators are better than average.Her story is very dramatic, the amazing life she lived, her gifts and Christian testimony deserve it done so much better. It would help inspire people to see how God work so mightily in the American Christian era that has passed away now, yet that would have taken a lot of money and talent to produce, not an easy thing to do.Without hearing any preaching many people found salvation or rededicated their lives by hearing the hymns she wrote, the Holy Spirit just talk directly to their heart with the words and medley of the hymn.
