Is there settings that allow manual adjustments in white balance, ISO, shutter speed and aperature?

You must be in auto mode and then menu will bring up options for white balance and ISO . As stated shutter speed and aperture do not seem to be available. Very incomplete instruction manual.

Wil the w300 accept the battery and other accessories from my old nikon coolpix aw120?

i use my old batteries for the W300. and it does do well down to 100 feet. I accidentally went to 119 feet taking a picture and it still works just fine.

Anybody know how to get rid of the altitude scale on the moniter? It's driving me nuts!

Try going to the satellite figure click it, then scroll down the menu to altitude/depth options, click it. Then Altimeter/depth gage, click it and turn it off.
