It was beautiful kept us guessing kind of but overall really enjoyed it. Sure read and u won't want to put it down till u finish it

I'm always pleased to see new books from rs grey. I know they have the romance but they also have a real heart as well as great humour and warmth, even with elements of difficulty/trouble/tragedy. This was not that.Firstly,whilst Raelynn was fairly well written, Ben was just too one dimensional I think. There were glimmers of a strong character but it didnt quite hit the mark. It was hard to believe in him and Raelynn them as a couple.In terms of part one of the book, there were a few cliches but done well enough to not be too bad. I think the friendship with Lele could have been expanded a bit more just to add some light to it. Whilst rs greys FLC might have hard lives to begin with or at least obstacles, there is always some humour, snark and in a lot of cases, less self pity. This didn't really happen. The glimpses of friendship with Ben and his teammates were the only real evidence of his personality Also, the sexual harassment seemed to be just thrown in and I felt it wasn't dealt with well.It picked up in part 2 , and flowed better but some of the same issues were there.I'm glad I finished it but I'm disappointed it wasn't to the authors usual standard.

Obviously not to stereotype as there are other backgrounds in the NBA/basketball in general but it disappointing for an author to continue their streak of white main characters in a pretty black setting. A slightly spicy surname doesn’t really change that.The story was cute enough, as with most sports romances you have to suspend a little belief. Writing style also confirms why I keep coming back to RS grey - simple and sweet romance with a HEA.

I went into this book abit blind. Normally I like to read reviews before jumping into books so I don’t waste my time. But this book just came out and had no reviews. However i was intrigued by the blurb. I am so glad I read this. It takes a lot to hold my attention while reading romance books as I tend to get bored easily but this one held my attention. Love the hero and heroine, great love story. Great read.

I enjoyed this story but not as much as some of her other books. It went on a bit. I started wanting it to move on and that's not a good sign. However the two main characters were decent people and the epilogue was lovely.

Oh what an enjoyable read. First book I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it.Really loved the characters, both Ben and Birdie.Can’t wait to start on the next book.Highly recommended
