Ahnu Women's Chenery Lace Up Boot

Can't begin to tell you how much I love these boots. They are "military inspired" but not clunky in the least. I dress them up, with leggings or tights and a sweater dress, and dress them down down with skinny jeans or black pants. They've been with me walking miles in all sorts of weather in Portland, Seattle, NYC, London and and epic 8 miles in Paris one day last year. No discomfort whatsover and all while looking current and chic. I have a somewhat slim foot, wearing a 6.5 in sandals and a 7 in closed-toe shoes and I found them to be true to size. They might not accommodate a very wide foot. I will definitely try to repurchase these again if mine ever wear out, but I don't think that will happen anytime soon. I've had them almost 3 years and they still look practically new.

I have been waiting to review these boots since I ordered them in the off season and I wanted to put some miles in these boots before saying anything about them.The Boot:The quality and design is very good. They look NICE and have a lot of cool little details that set them apart from other combat-style boots. I especially love my "Twighlight" color because they come with red-orange laces and soles. They feel very sturdy. The soles are thick and feel like they will hold up for years, which is not typical to find for a women's fashion boot. My one complaint is that the boot shaft (neck?) is a bit narrow and though it fits perfectly, it may make your feet look long. I think it's just a preference thing but I have another pair of combat-style boots that have a looser boot shaft and I think my feet look smaller in them. Not the end of the world :)The Fit: I am a true 8, but from experience with Ahnu, I typically like to go with a 7.5. I ordered these in size 8, however, because there was a price difference on Amazon and I figured in the winter, I'll be wearing thicker socks. They fit well.Comfort:Although they don't have a super squishy foot bed, they are comfortable and supportive enough to stand all day at work or walk a couple miles in.My experience with Ahnu:After buying my first pair of Ahnu hiking books a couple years ago, I've continued to buy their shoes and these are my 4th pair of Ahnus. That is saying a lot coming from someone who is NOT a brand loyalist. I find that they come up with uniquely stylish shoes that are built to last.

Beautiful, well made boot. The rivets and lace hooks seem to be copper which makes this boot's look. The reason I am only giving it 4 stars is that it is too narrow for my foot - so I am not able to wear or keep them. I am typically an 8 or an 8 ½. I ordered both. The 8 ½ was too long and the 8, too narrow. So if you have a narrower foot, give them a try. The soles are removable.

I LOVE the boots. The fit well. I'm thankful that they have a side zip to get in/out of. The colors are great. The majority of the boot is dark brown. The back nylon portion is a very dark green. Both are perfect contrast for the orange/red shoe laces! I didn't focus enough on the fact that the toe box is pointed so it fits snugger around the toes than what I wanted. But its not bad. I wore them all day around the house with thick winter/hiking socks. I can wear a thinner sock and still be fine. Insoles are good with nice arch support. The height is fantastic. It makes me feel secure in the boot. Over-all a great boot!

These fit perfectly true to size for me. I have a thin sock on but could wear a slightly thicker sock. My feet are a bit wide at a the ball and narrow everywhere else with a very high instep. I love the combination of the zipper for easy in-and-out and the laces to snug up the fit. Warm but not hot or sweaty. Not sure how they would do in wet or snow beyond routine walking around, as I sometimes see a gap between tongue and boot and need to re-snug the laces.

I already own these boots in Black and I have been very satisfied with them. Finding this pair of boots at a great sale price was a no brainer that I would order another color. You’ll find these a comfortable boot one that you can be on your feet for many hours. They met my expectations and I am sure I will be wearing them for many years. They polish well, which I do even though they have a 3M treatment against stains. If you purchase these boots you will not be disappointed at the quality. I own seven pair of Ahnu boots and shoes and I’m happy with every single one of them. Plus I have ordered two pair of their yoga sneakers, they were a good deal and a comfortable sneaker. One more detail about the boots you have the lace up option or the zip up option for easy on and off.

These are wonderful boots, they are comfortable and practical, but also stylish.I got them in an 8, which is my usual size, and they fit very well. I have a high instep and high arches, and they are supportive and easy to wear. When I first got them, the right foot bed felt a little lumpy, but this went away after a couple of weeks and now they are very comfortable.I love the fact that they tie - this gives me the perfect fit so I can wear them for long walks without tiring the tops of me feet (which happens to me when I have to use the muscles of my feet to keep the shoes on). I also love that they are waterproof.I get compliments on them all of the time. They are an unusual color (twilight is really a dark matte gray) and have contrasting laces. They look kind of like urban work boots.I wear them daily when the weather is appropriate. I highly recommend these shoes!

I expected these to run narrow since I have other Ahnu shoes. That is one of the reasons I really like this brand. These are very comfortable. They have excellent support.My concern when I ordered them was what color is twilight? It is a dark gray with a brown undertone. Seem very versatile. I cannot wait for cooler weather so I can wear them.

These boots are amazing!! Super comfortable and stylish. Very good quality. Just get them. Do it - you won't regret it!
