I had read so much about the Dewalt heads busting up - and this recommended as a replacement - that I bought this and immediately installed it on the Dewalt trimmer (60V max trimmer).I haven't beat beat it up (i.e. normal bounce feed use) but so far so good.Note it does not have any auto load/feed at all. Perhaps why it's more dependable. So when you need to load it - you need to pop the spool and load it. But it's quite solid.I run the stock line for most - and the 095 for where the bush hoggers missed or for a path.Kinda sucks my expensive Dewalt needs this - but this is solid and so far I haven't missed any fast load/feed fanciness. Just solid Husky strength and performance.For the average homeowner you may be fine without (and the 20V Dewalt vs the commercial 60V).

I have a 20v DeWalt string trimmer and it started malfunctioning after exactly 4 uses. The string/line kept bunching up no matter how carefully I re-inserted it. After looking online for a while, this one kept popping up. It installs on this particular trimmer without the need of any of the adapters/hardware. It immediately looks like a better-designed head. I am writing this review after using it 3 times and it has given me 0 problems. I would also drop a little bit of oil on either side too, that was something that I had read other folks recommending.

Great replacement for my DeWalt 20V string trimmer. No modifications needed, straight forward installation. Worked flawlessly. The heavier gauge trimmer line was a good addition - line lasted longer while edging along the driveway and sidewalk.

I put put this head on my 20v dewalt trimmer. (Also added the wider dewalt guard.) Unlike the oem dewalt head, this head works well, the line feeds out when the head bumped on the ground.I liked this head because it appears to allow diverse string choices, including the lightweight .070 line that is suggested for this trimmer. It comes pre-loaded with heavy duty .095 line. I could feel the heavier weight of the head.I think this head and heavier line may have been too much for the small dewalt motor, especially as I was cutting damp high grass and dense clover. Fortunately, did not burn up the motor. Will reload with .070 trimmer line. (Motor or head may lug when string hits vegetation, so hear amplitude changes that I don't hear with the stihl. )It does not automatically load as another reviewer suggested- must remove the reel to load string/line. The reel loads easilly, if can keep the tension on 1 or both lines. (Load 1 side at a time by putting half the line into the locking reel knotch.)Would like to find a simiar model head with at least semi-auto feed.May switch this head to my Stihl trimmer.(Wonder if the reel for this head is interchangeable with my Stihl head???)(A few hours of trimmer use consumed 2+ 9amp hour batteries, a 5 amp hour battery, so started on 4 amp hour battery. ????)

After many years of constant aggravation with my Dewalt 20 volt weed eater, I was literally seconds away from throwing in the trash. I was here on Amazon actually looking for a replacement, when I saw this item kept popping up on the recommended items list. I did a little research.....(read.....Youtube vids ) and decided to pull the trigger on this little jewel.Absolutely the smartest thing any Dewalt, 20 volt, string trimmer owner could possibly do.Item installed perfect on the Dewalt, a direct fit with no hassles, and operates flawlessly.Sad.....Husqvarna had to save Dewalts butt on this one.....lol
