I missed the last line in the details. I guess I shouldn’t have expected it to have acid. Went to Napa and bought a 32 oz jug of battery acid $20. Tested at 12v soon as the acid level was full. Cranking seems fast on my 2017 Klr 650. I’d buy this again if it lasts more than 3-4 years.

THIS BATTERY COMES DRY! You will need to run to your local auto parts store to pick up some sulfuric acid (which is cheap)!Installed it and it worked flawlessly after it was charged for a few hours. It comes with instructions on how long you need to charge it but other than that it will serve its purpose. I installed this on my 82' Suzuki GS-650 and it runs strong. Yuasa make great batteries for cycles.

Ok, read way down that this battery comes dry and you need to also spend $20 for acid... my mistake, but shoulda gone to the auto parts store and saved the wait and bother... live and lean

It is what it is, a Yuasa. I have spent over 25 years in the motorsports industry (now retired) and I know the value of a good battery. I have had Yuasa batteries last as long 7 years with proper winter storage. These are the best motorcycle batteries you can buy and they are well worth the money, but you have to maintain them. NOTE: The only reason that I didn't give this battery 5 stars is because it is not shipped with the electrolyte (acid). You have to go to your local auto parts store and purchase that separately for an additional $10. So, do the math. If you don't have Amazon Prime and you have to pay for shipping along with the electrolyte, it may be a better value to just buy your Yuasa YB14L-A2 locally.

Priced and shipped dry. useless with out the additional purchase of acid product.

the battery is shipped to countries that do not sell the acid for the battery and then you cannot use it as it is dry charged and needs to fill it with acid to make it work- yuasa does have models that come with the acid packed separately in the box so why not sell this model too?

I’ve always used Yuasa batteries in my motorcycles, ATVs and scooters. They seem to last longer, but that obviously varies with the machine and usage.This battery replaces the 8 year old Yuasa battery in my ancient (1982) Yamaha 750, which finally died. In fact, the old battery probably would have lasted longer had I kept it on a trickle charger more consistently.In the past, I was able to purchase batteries that included a separate, sealed container with the battery acid. Those don’t seem to be available now online, so I had the battery filled at a local store for $5.In future, I’ll likely try to buy these locally since the battery suffered a small fracture in the plastic casing during shipping. Fortunately, it wasn’t severe enough to leak, but the heavy weight of this item likely makes it vulnerable to breakage during shipping.Regards, Mark

Battery still strong,just be aware that it comes without acid.

Bought this for a replacement for my ninja ex500 as mine had died on me. Exact fit and quality battery but as stated there is no battery fluid included. Make sure to check that you have somewhere around you to fill it prior to purchasing otherwise your out of luck.

Acid is not included. This is the stupidest thing ever. Deceptive advertizing is why people avoid online shopping.

Always fill with acid. (Not included). Get it from Can tire or Bike shop. Fill and let soak up. Recheck level and charge on small trickle charger. Best battery for the price. Been using them for years and they don't leak !!
