Q: How well does it hold up in the rain? Will it rust like others and no longer close or open?

I've had mine in a covered porch; but it closes tightly & I doubt if it will rust outside. Good product.

Q: What are the internal dimensions? I need for a car remote. Thanks.

I purchased for a key remote, I don't know the exact dimensions, but can tell you I'm sure it will fit. My son uses for his car keys while surfing. I do know you might have to remove a key ring as there isn't enough room.

Never had a cover come off and I have a few of them on vrbo's
