Chess Armory Chess Set Box Compact Collapsible Folding Chess Set

This is so convenient it just the right size for traveling too. I brought two so my mom could have one. I like the cushion on the bottom it keeps it from sliding and the foldable table which is affixed to the case is a plus in my book. I like the finish and the pieces are nice I just don't like the way the king and queen look almost alike. The king is slightly bigger and has a round piece near the top that's supposed to be the crown. Other than that I love it.

I gave this as a gift to a mate who I was teaching to play chess. great for travel, small packed and a cute little box but the pieces are hard to tell apart ie, king and queen and pawn and bishop.

I only rate it a 3 because I bought this chess board not realizing how small it was, for my 9 yr old Xmas gift. One other issue is the chess pieces has no grip on the bottom, besides those two issue’s it’s beautifully made and sturdy, cute little box for traveling. So if you don’t mind the size it’s worth the buy. I added some pics and put a chopstick on top of it so you guys can see how small it is.

Nice all around quality. The pieces are very light and small. The board does not rotate completely into position.

I bought this as a gift for my local homeless shelter. Often the clients sit around with nothing to do and I thought this might spur some activity. Its definitely not a premium set, but for the money it is well worth it. The construction is good and should hold up through many matches.

My son is 5 years old and wanted to trade in his Valentine's Day candy for a toy. After careful thought he decided he wanted a chess board. There are so many choices and I decided on this product based on price and size. I liked the fact that pieces can be stored inside. It arrived on time... bit smaller than I thought but it's right for little kids, makes it portable. What I really liked was a personal email from the owner to check if everything was ok and he included a free chess guide. Of course he requested if we could rate them and I am more than happy to do so. It's a personal touch like this that makes the difference..I would definitely buy another product from this seller.Sid S

When we play chess with a board and wooden pieces, we're consciously choosing an analog activity. At least that's how I feel, and that's why it was important to me that I get a nice-feeling set that was also practical, durable, and felt special. This set delivers on all three. The pieces aren't the craftsman quality, but they're good wood. The board itself is the same - not craftsman quality, but very good. The way the board unfolds and swivels out to sit on top of the box is really cool. For $12 I am beyond satisfied with this board, and look forward to taking it to coffee shops, the park, and all the other places I can practice being a grandpa in.
