Okay, first thing's first: This soap does NOT smell the way I thought it would. When I pulled it out, wet it down, and gave it a test use just on my hands, I took a whiff and it was a bit of a shocker. I thought it would be a robust, thick scent that you'd be able to smell on me several feet away like some other soaps I've used, but it is NOT that. Also, the combination of scents is probably not like you imagine it; it's certainly not overall smell I'd envisioned. That said, it's actually really great. Despite the smell being very different than I'd expected AND being much more subtle than I'd anticipated, it's very good. It's definitely a musky one, definitely not the way you'd expect most women to smell, so it's nice to smell masculine. While applying the soap, I find it smells a lot like patchouli, but don't worry, it actually changes after you rinse and smells a little more like its description says. But the most vitally important part is that it DOES NOT leave behind a slimy, awful residue like cheaper or lamer homemade soaps usually do. This stuff rinses off for real and leaves you literally squeaky clean, which I massively appreciate. There's nothing worse than spending an extra 15 minutes in the shower trying to scrape off the slimy gunk that soaps leave behind on you, I hate that, and this soap doesn't do that. Overall, I'm totally satisfied and I'm smelling excellent every day. I intend to buy again.

I was extremely excited to try this soap. The moment I read about the sent, I had to order some. Delivery was fast and prompt, just like the Pony Express of the Wild West. Upon opening the bag, the amazing scent began to rise. Once it hit my nose, it was as if Wyatt Earp's ghost had been released and pistol whipped me across the face with his smoke wagon. In the distance, I could hear The Duke whispering "If you've got them by the balls, their hearts and minds will follow." Let me tell you, Outlaw Soap had me by the balls, and I couldn't wait to try this stuff out. Later than night I used it as I took a shower, it was as if I could hear Davey Crockett telling the people of Tennessee that they can go to hell, because he was going to Texas. Foamed up very nice and left my skin and olfactory bulb very satisfied. Speaking of satisfied, I jumped into bed with my fiancé and boy let me tell ya... There is something in there that she couldn't resist. Now, me coming home smelling like gun powder is nothing new to her. This time, she was like a lioness, and I was a gazelle. She wanted to get me. Would diffidently recommend, and will be buying more. A little on the pricey side, but we make money to spend it. Spend it on this.

I think it smells like a cocktail I wouldn't end up drinking. Like maraschino cherries. Or a candle. My husband says it smells like apple cider. Definitely seems like an autumn scent. It feels like the soap leaves a waxy residue. The main scent goes away very quickly, which I don't mind. The faint scent that's left over is almost peppery, and I think it works well on me. Undecided on whether I'll buy again.

I don’t think it’s a good return on the money spent. I’ve gotten similar sample sizes for free. It fit my needs though as I was interested in the variety of scents they had on offer. The soap lathers good, the scents are as described and my skin has felt great. I wish they all offered some level of grit as only one does. The scents don’t last. In my experience they fade almost immediately. As for the scents themselves I can say they are pretty on point. If you don’t actually like those smells I’d stay away. I myself wish I could smell like black powder all day.

I bought this soap as a Christmas present for my husband, so it's currently under the tree and hasn't been used yet. This soap is... POTENT. Like, I opened the box and BAM. WHISKEY. But in a good way? In any case, the soap is beautiful and I can tell it's impeccably made. My husband is the epitome of a man's man and I think he's going to love it! Will update soon! UPDATE: Ok. So my husband will not shut up about this soap. Like, he talks about it every. Single. Day. I AM NOT EVEN KIDDING. He loves the smell, the "creaminess", the lather, the literally everything except the fact that he's running out. He did slightly complain that it goes faster than the Irish Spring or whatever he was using before, but he just ran out of the first par and it's been a little over a month, so no... no it does not. In any case, I was just sent to Amazon to order more of this soap because now he's on bar two and the thought of running out a month from now with no back ups immediately available is apparently terrifying for him. If y'all ever needed a bearded, football enthusiast dude that more or less thinks everyone should just go back to being cowboys to do a commercial for you, I'm just saying that I've got one right here that wouldn't even need a script. Bought this November 2017 and am returning to buy some more. Quick background: my husband does not like me shopping, at all, ever; he says this soap is expensive, and I would have to agree. You can buy like a 20 pack of Ivory for the same price. So point is, it's no small thing that he actually doesn't mind me buying this soap. I think it smells delicious, more like chocolate than anything, but my hubby says good whiskey can smell/taste like that anyways. Lovely smooth lather, lasts a decent amount of time, and hubby approves :) I don't know what's up with the negative reviews; maybe this soap was formulated a little differently a couple years ago, but it's damn good now. If you don't think so I'd wager your olfactories are malfuntioning.

unless they are inflatable. Have you ever gone to blow up a beach ball and some of the air blew back in your face? That's what this smells like. It's not... unpleasant. It smells clean... but it's not at all the scent advertised. Stranger still, I can smell this soap in the hallway as I walk past my bathroom but the scent lingers on my skin only as long as the lather does. The soap itself has a weird stop and go when brushed across the skin. It sticks then slides then sticks then slides. Added with the fact that a "two pack" is roughly the size of any other single bar of soap if you were to stick these two together and I don't believe I will purchase this again. I'll use it. I just won't buy more. I purchased another scent as well which, out of the box, smells like it should. Once I've gone through this $20, I'll write a separate review for that one.

Just got my first soap order today! Unboxed it and as soon as I opened the lid I could smell the soap so I was worried that it was going to be super strong when I used it as well. Just got out of the shower and all I can say is I love this soap. It has a very unique smell for sure, a little sweet but at the same time there is a bite to it as well. It was not over powering in the shower and the smell it leaves behind is subtle and not "loud" at all. I prefer to use a good antibacterial soap as it leaves behind the "squeaky clean" feeling rather than a lotion/soft feeling of some soaps. This soap leaves me feeling squeaky clean as well, thank goodness! Hopefully folks don't look at me weird as I've been walking around smelling myself 😂 Cannot wait for the second type I ordered to come in next week. Who knew soap could be this awesome!
