Can't get any sound
I purchased this for my kindergarten class' presentations, with the intentions of recording them for the parents to watch later at home. It says, "plug and play". I charged it, plugged it in, turned it on, and off we went with lots of hard work being presented to the class. At the end of the day when I went to look at the recording, there was no sound in my video. None at all. Not even any distant background noise that I would have at least got without the microphone. Lots of sad parents who have been waiting all day to see their kids' presentation. Sad and heartbroken over this purchase.

Does not work
When I received this product, it would not power on. I charged it for a while and it worked fine at first. I then charged it fully. The next day, it would not power on. Even after charging it fully again, it won't work at all.

Horrific item, DO NOT BUY!!!
No audio, does not work, very poor instructions. Have been testing and researching how to work it for over an hour. The makers of this product should be ashamed and should not be allowed to scam anymore costumers with their false advertisement. I expect a full refund.

Plug & Play wireless mic set w-Rx lightning connector output for iPhone … great value
ITEM: Wireless “Plug & Play” Mic Set from Starument Store using iPhone’s lightning connectorPRICE: $ 42.50 (at time of review and including 15% vendor coupon discount)This will be one of the least costly, and quickest ‘Plug & Play’ wireless mic sets I’ve seen dedicated to iPhone’s lightning connector as the receiver’s integrated output. In a very positive way I was smiling at just how low the price was, and how simple this set was to use. And on top of all that, I’d never seen a wireless mic set in the low $40 range for iPhone… yet here it is. I’ve used this same mic set for Android, and marveled at the quality of set’s audio.Features and notes on this wireless microphone set…..• Truly plug and play… the receiver plugs into the iPhone’s lightning port, where it both gets power and passes through your wireless mic audio.• Range is commendable at approximately 45 to 50 feet with no obstructions.• Lapel mic is omni-directional, and has a lapel clip that can be mounted from left or right side. There’s just not much more to say about this great value item. It’s the kind of necessary accessory that I use regularly. And it’s well matched item to an iPhone, which is as portable and easy to use, on the fly, as this ‘plug and play’ wireless microphone set.

Slightly low gain and a few other issues...
The media could not be loaded. I wanted a decent PnP lapel mic for my iphone to make it easy to do voice recordingss and some videos with the iphone set up at 4-7 feet away.On paper, this seem to be ideal.Arriving in a nice little box, inside you get the lapel mic, iphone lightening adapter, USB-C cable for charging the mic and an instruction pamphlet.Everything is described as being straight forward: plug into iphone, turn mic on, wait a second and go.There were a few problems:The lapel mic is very slippery with no grip on the clip so when I would go to squeeze it would move out of my fingers so you have to clip on an angle. A few rough spots or pads would have fixed this. The lightening adapter has a short neck so it wouldn't fit into the bottom of my Otterbox iphone 11 pro max case. I ended up using my wife' iphone X which isn't in a full body case. If your iphone uses a full body case or cover it MAY not fit.The lightening adapter did not work at all in my wife's 2017 ipad. The red light did not come on and it did not receive power or work. The idea is to provide power to the lightening dongle via your iphone then turn on the mic and it auto pairs with the dongle but I had to turn my mic off and on a few times to get it to connect properly. If there is no active dongle, the mic will blink red/green. If there is an active dongle but a connection isn't properly made it will blink green. Once connected, it is a solid green. Numerous times it would blink green and not connect till I turned it off and on.Once properly connected, I decided to test it out with a voice only video. I found the pick up was....average at best. Speaking in a normal, flat tone I found it to be a little on the quiet side in lapel position and lacking any full body pick up compared to a professional lapel mic system I've used in the past. I've included a video of me doing mic tests walking away from the phone over 10ft away and the connection remained solid but I just wish it had a bit more pick up or adjustable gain. For the price, it will get the job done but if you can afford to spend a little more you might want to get another model with a bit more punch and polish.3/5

Simple and Works Well
If you use your iPhone for video, a lavalier microphone is a handy thing to have in your equipment bag. They are especially useful outdoors for filming with narration. You just charge it up, plug it in, and it works. I had to adjust the gain on my video app (Filmic Pro), but that is easy to do and I suspect that it is equally easy with any other video app.

Sound is alright! However Noise Reduction Is Great!
I received the Starument Wireless Lavalier Microphone which is Compatible with my iPhone 12.There is no app or adapter Needed. Wow! It has a small microphone that attaches to your clothes for vlogging, streaming, video recording. Be careful the little cover for the mic cover falls off easily. It also has Noise Cancellation which does work very well. Let me just say just turn with the Quick Plug and Record. That is it! No Bluetooth pairing or adapter. Just 1-2-3. You do not need any instructions.Ok, with the sound. It is clear however it is so close to sounding like my iPhone. However, the big bonus plus is, it helps with background noise. I am really happy about that. That is the main reason I will be using it. Background noises, and echoes. The microphone is small, light, and not bulky. I simply clip it on my clothes. I will be using it for the sound but mainly for the background noise.
