Kasian House Cast Iron Wok, Pre-Seasoned with Wooden Lid 12" Diameter and Large Handles, Stir Fry Pan

In complete love with this wok! Nothing sticks, absolutely the best on the market. Easy to clean don't know how I have lived without. Chinese food at least once a week in my house

I bought this because it is so beautiful. I am improving my stir fry skills with it!. I leave it on top of the stove simply to admire it. I wish it were a little lighter and possibly made of carbon steel, but I wouldn't sacrifice the grace of the handles for anything, or the beautiful wood top. It is pre-tempered and that has worked well. I wash it in hot water only, then dry it for a minute on the stove. I add oil the next time I cook.

Have used it a number of times the last few weeks, pleased with how it cooks & cleans up, much better than an old steel one i'd tried years ago. The lid is useful too, I like the woodenness of it, light also. Seems durable based on it's weight! I keep it oiled after cleaning it, ready to use for the next time.

The Wok itself is great. Please Watch out for the unsealed and cures lid. Myself and partner have gotten splinters when trying to clean. Otherwise, we like the wok, just be careful. Woefully they figure out how to deal the lid so people don't get hurt or injured.

Before I get to my review I just want to say to the reviewer who claims that ‘Rust rules’ - lady, you clearly don’t know how to take care of cast iron. I own 4 asian restaurants so i'm very familiar with the benifits of woks. However due to fire code issues you just can't get the level of gas btu's necesarry to achieve the wok-hei commerical kitchens can (hence why so many Asian households have backyard wok cooking stations). A cast iron wok is such a logical solution for heat retention when wok cooking i can;'t believe it took me this long to get one.This wok is the perfect size for a New York City apartment gas stovetop, not too big but large enough for most dishes. It comes somewhat seasoned however I would still do 2-3 coats of oven seasoning before you use it (tons of youtube videos out there on how to season cast iron).This is the best thing i've gotton in a long time, my fried eggs slide out without needing to use non-stick spray.

I bought this wok three years ago as a gift to myself and it sits on top of my stove 24/7/365. Love it. It comes seasoned but I did some extra seasoning in the oven when I first got it and use it a lot so the seasoning has improved since then. I can do a stir fry in a little oil and any clean up needed (most of the time it doesn't require cleaning) I accomplish by running some hot water into it, lightly scrubbing with a steel scrub pad, wipe it dry, heat it on the stove and wipe with Crisco. Take less time to clean this wok than a stainless steel pan. I avoid acid foods (true of all seasoned cookware) and clear broth soups (common sense) but everything else I do in this wok. LOVE IT!

This 12in size wok is perfect for me. Even the thickness is perfect. Although I know it will last a life time I would consider purchasing a 2nd one of the same size in case I need to cook 2 dishes at the same time. I love the way it cooks so evenly. I sauteed shrimp and vegetables and it was delicious! I'm very happy with my wok!

I love this Wok I use it almost everyday now. It is pretty heavy but easy to clean.
