Works and was a good replacement for my old 3DS battery

I'm a big softie for my old 3DS – it's somewhere around 12 years old at this point. I noticed a while back that the back plate was bulging, and my system clock kept resetting to 1/1/2011. I did a bit of research, and turns out my original battery was out of date. Extremely out of date. Explosion risk out of date. Ordered this as soon as I could, and its been a life saver. Works just as well as the Nintendo battery did, if not better. It comes with the screwdrivers to do the repair yourself, and the process is quite straightforward: remove the old, worryingly bloated battery and the new one slips right into place. Console fits back together like new. Holds its charge amazingly – mine gets somewhere around 6-8 hours of game time off a full charge, and it's been around a year after the repair. I'd say if you have an original 3DS lying somewhere, and you haven't been giving it the love it deserves, freshen it up with this new battery.

Works great I found my 3DS after so many years that I remember that I had a really bad battery so I watched a simple YouTube video and all you really have to do is just unscrew it and swap the battery and screw it back in. It’s that simple. I don’t use the 3DS often to post on my PSP because I don’t have games for it, but after not using it for months, the battery is still holds power I obviously on it sometimes on occasion just in case

Got this because I was in a pinch to replace my original 3DS battery that had become bloated (and thus a major fire hazard). Thankfully this kit comes with all you need to replace it, including specially sized screwdrivers and even an extra charging cable if you need one. In terms of performance, it's... okay I guess. It lasted about two and a half hours of gameplay and a half hour of sleep mode before my 3DS gave me the "low battery, please charge" warning. Looking up the official stats, my model of 3DS is meant to have 3-5 hours of battery life, so this *technically* passes, it's just not spectacular. If you're like me and needed the whole kit with the screwdrivers, it may be worth it for the convenience. If you're just in need of the battery though, I'd suggest looking elsewhere for better performance.

It does the job and works as expected at first. However, after only about 1.5 years, the battery stopped charging and became unusable. By comparison, the original Nintendo battery lasted significantly longer (5+ years). I can't recommend this product based on its longevity and would avoid at all cost. Customer support was also disappointing—I reached out for assistance, but my support request was simply closed without any resolution or response.

Overall good price and value for your buck box comes with the battery a charger and 3 sets of Phillips screws. Battery fit exactly for my 3Ds and came half charged so you don’t have to wait and see if it works you’ll know immediately. So far the quality of the battery has been good I haven’t noticed any crash draining while playing.

coming with the screwdrivers was such a nice touch, thank you so much for this. my original 3ds battery lasted maybe five mins off the charger and had begun to swell and stress the housing. this gives my 3ds some hours of charge like its new again and i've been having a blast getting back in touch with all my games. also, i was really afraid to do this fix myself at first, but its super easy. the housing on the ds is simple and the battery is labelled great, it was perfect. again, the little screwdrivers??? thank you soooo so much.

I purchased this battery (and an 8BitDo USB Wireless Adapter 2) so that I could use my ol’ Wii U Pro Controller with my Switch. It’s nice to hold a full sized Pro Controller instead of the tiny Joy-Cons in my big mitts. The comfort alone makes the purchase(s) worth every penny!
