Do you live in California, Mediterranean, S.America?
This bait does an incredible job killing those hundreds of square miles Argentinian Water Ant, ant colonies. Of course 1 bait doesn't kill the entire colony, but it will kill the ones in a localized area in your home. We have these hidden in back corners away from pets, away from foods, away from kids - back corner of the bathroom counter, back corner behind the toilet, back corner behind the kitchen trash can, in the garage, and behind the clothes washer. We treat these like poisons, and make sure the dead ants won't get into anything we or our pets might eat or drink, and that the baits won't get wet. But these are definitely "set it & forget it" kinds of baits. The Terro clear plastic containers are fine to set out just about anywhere without worries, but sometimes you'll get a conga line of those Argentinian Ants coming into your home from your yard or street, and then you've got a big, big problem! Everyone and every queen in the neighborhood is going to your home! These little metal baits kill the ants right near the bait and the problem is solved nearly! Love these baits!! Sometimes, the ants will die somewhere else, and we've never quite figured that one out, but they are definitely dead and gone. It is nice, though disconcerting, to come home to some sort of big ant invasion that had gone on while you were away on a trip, but not have the nightmare of having to kill thousands of ants - the baits do their job very very well. Highly recommend these! Keep a couple packages sealed up, so you have them ready to setup at 2am when you discover those ants have invaded. I definitely recommend having at least 6-8 tins unopened. If you take them out of their packaging, store them in a freezer ziplock.

Safe and effective.
Works great for those tiny black ants that like to invade your counter tops. Although there must only be a small amount of bait, because they stopped working after a couple of days. Safe around my cats.

Worked ok....
They worked ok. The ants didn't seem to go inside right away. There is a small lip so the entrance isn't flush with the ground. After a couple went it, they didn't seem to attract more to follow.

Isn't working...
I have common house ants in my small kitchen. Placed 4 of these ant bait stations (2 of them right on the countertop. The ants totally ignore the bait stations. No decrease in ant activity after 24 days

It actually works?!
I don't know why I didn't get these sooner. I'd been struggling with Argentine ants for months. MONTHS! They came into the condo in the summer and never left. I'd been dealing with these disgusting things, stupidly throwing Terro products at them because they had worked in the past. The ants would disappear for a day or two but always come back as if nothing had ever happened.Desperate, I decided to try something new. I liked the reviews on this one, so I wanted to give Ant Killer a shot.First of all, this comes in a metal can, and you have to make the holes yourself. I just used a small screw and a hammer on the indented areas. The holes pop out easily enough, but it was still kind of unwieldy in that regard. Then, I set down two traps, since these dumb ants were coming in from both sides of my home. One was in the kitchen, and the other next to the fireplace (seen in the picture I've attached). The first few days, I was disturbed and kind of scared, because the ants wouldn't stop coming. They were everywhere! On the walls, on the floor, on ME, anywhere within the proximity of those two ant baits, they were going to swarm. It was so disgusting. I would have to keep brushing ants off of myself and try to wipe up ants that strayed too far from the main ant trails. After a couple of days, they disappeared, and I had hope, until they came back again and again and again. The first week, the ants kind of disappeared, but they would always kind of be around, so I thought it was another failed poison attempt and decided to start looking up alternative options. Two days ago though, I noticed a strange thing. I saw random dirt piled around in my kitchen, which was unusual. I decided to sweep up when I realize what they were. They weren't dirt, but PILES OF ANTS. Just dead ants, so many of them, piles and piles of ant bodies. I don't know WHY they decided to go to a corner of the kitchen and die in one area. It was so disgusting, but so wonderful at the same time. I happily cleaned that mess up, and now, besides one or two sad looking tiny ants, I have not seen them come back.I cannot believe it works. Thank you, Ant Killer! You really do live up to your name. This was truly amazing, like absolute magic, and it's given me such relief.
