Transcend TS512MCF80 512MB Compact Flash Card
Purchasing the Transcend 512MB Flash Card was just purely by chance that it might work in my Hewlett-Packard digital camera. It was a trial step-up from the largest Flash Cards that I previously own (128MB). My camera is now 14 years old. At the time it was manufactured, it was the very latest state-of-the art in digital technology. Way back then, the largest Flash Card (16MB) one could buy, would hold 12 large size (16" x 20") digital photographs. Previously, I tried an upgrade to a 1GB Flash Card, but had to return it. Like old computers, when hard drives loaded with programs, with capacity of only 20MB, my camera failed to accept a GB capacity. Not knowing if my camera would accept this Flash Card, it turned out that the purchase of this 512MB Flash Card was an extremely excellent option. The Transcend Flash Card was accepted by my camera and has worked with excellent performance. There is no loss of digital photograph quality in any way or showing absolutely no sign of any camera "slow-down". This Flash Card's maximum capacity allows 505 large size photographs. Current Flash Card technology is great. Same dimensions as the very first Flash Cards that were produced but just imagine how many 16MB Flash Cards that this single Flash Card replaces. I now presently own two. On vacations, I take a lot of photographs. No room for a computer when travelling on motorcycle or by air, so it is next to impossible to empty a full Card to a CD or DVD. I now have loads of vacant space in my camera bag now. Just try to purchase a MB size Flash Card in electronic or camera stores now. One gets blank stares from shop personnel when you ask for this size of Flash Card. They are absolutely non-existent. Thanks to Amazon and to companies that manufacture them, for making these sizes still available. In short, don't throw away perfectly working but older digital cameras. Buy a Transcend Compact 512MB Flash Card with confidence.

Transcend 500 mb CompactFlash Cards Work Wonderfully and Last
We bought a few of these a couple of years ago and were able to save about 75% of the cost that we would have spent at retail stores. We didn't know this brand at the time, but I can tell you that these have lasted several times each and have never failed us. You'll want to be careful when buying this type of product to buy the type of flash drive (here is is a type 1) that your camera can use. Many of the older digital cameras from the early to mid 2000's period cannot use the high density type 4,5, and 6 flash disks that you find on retail shelves. So, if you're like me, you'll find some of the older type 1,2,and 3 media being phased out and hard to get at retail stores. Transcend seems to produce a lot of the type of media people will need for their older and slightly older cameras. Based on my experience, I would also try them for my newer camera.

Got an old camera you still love? Buy this now while you can!
Buy this memory while you can! This low capacity is rare, and as time goes on, your camera maybe a neat item of discussion before long as these will assuredly go away! Right price, right quality, and trustworthy data. Camera here is an Olympus E-10!

Compatible CF Card for my NEC Mobile Pro 900
I was having trouble finding CF cards to use with my used NEC Mobile Pro 900. The machine is 10 years old and most modern accessories are not compatible with it. The NEC will only accept a CF type I and it needs to be no more than 8 gigs in size...and I was told even smaller was better. Since I was going to be transferring text files in and out of the machine, a 512mb is ample size to hold my files and I found that this card is compatible with my Pocket PC. I've been using this CF card for six months and so far I have had no issues. When I use it, I do remember to eject the card from my desktop before removing it and this, I feel, has helped to prevent my files from corruption. I also configured it to FAT 16 before I used it for the first time. I think you will find that this CF card will work well with whatever older model of device you are using it for and I can recommend it as a well made CF card.

It has arrived without factory packaging
No factory package, just the card in the protection box. Hard to say if it’s new.

It totally saved images and let me transfer them to the computer.
This memory card fit my ancient digicam, its so hard to find the smaller cards these days. I could get a bigger one, but I'm not sure what I would do with all that space, what if my files got lost in there? ;-)

Great Item
Transcend tends to make a good product and this one fits that. It is one of those things that either works or it doesn't so there is no middle ground on something like this. But it still works just fine and I am pleased with it.

Good low capacity CF card
I purchased this to use in an Olympus E20N ( a rather old camera ) to replace a dead IBM Microdrive. According to Olympus the largest CF card that can be used is 320MB ( did anyone ever even make a 320MB other than IBM Microdrive ??? ). I was aghast when I saw the ridiculous prices of the smaller CF cards that most places were asking. I have used this card with no problems in the E20N even though it is larger than Olympus recommends. I highly recommend this card for someone who needs a "small" CF card at a reasonable price.
